I don't get the hate on Hathaway, I've pretty much always had a major boner for her. She is the reason that I actually watched The Devil Wears Prada, god damn she is so fucking hot in that movie.

The movie was fucking awesome, but I wish they would have made it a two parter because it seemed like a lot of things were rushed and crammed in there just to make time. *SPOILERS* like the whole romance with Miranda, it seemed like there was more background there that was never explained. Also the whole gap between Dark Knight and Rises could have been elaborated on maybe a few scenes of the Dent Act being pushed through, maybe show Wayne hanging up the suit and retiring, or explain his near crippled state a little better. Then the whole scene where Bane takes over Gotham and imprisons Wayne was really rushed, it was supposed to take place over 5 months but it went by way too quick and even with their movie magic it seemed like only a week or two. I am not a fan of hollywood "milking" movies but this one could have easily been a two part movie and both would have been all killer no filler. I think Dark Knight Rises Part 1 should have ended with Batman being beaten nearly to death by Bane and Part 2 would pick up with Wayne in prison and Bane taking control of Gotham. Alfred's speeches seemed way too forced too, like they just needed to cram some emotional connection in there and ran out of time to build up to it properly.

All that being said the movie was still fucking awesome, the ending was perfect and I hope that they have a plan to carry on the series because that would be the ultimate blue balls ending if they don't keep it going.

    it was epic.

SPOILERS WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU READING THIS THREAD FOR ANYWAY GTFO

when the cop vs crook battle was fucking intense. just seeing them go at it was awesome. like gangs of new york's opening scene. shit was tight.
bane's voice was perfect. calm, collected, kind-sounding, but fucking sinister.
anne hathaway was the perfect catwoman. anyone who disagrees just needs to look at skimpy photos of people who they thought should have played her and wuck it to that jaunce.

given it was a movie, i think it was perfect. just enough character progression, etc. if it was a tv show the romance between that bitch and batman could have taken more time but it's a 3 hour movie.

the ending was perfect. we know batman doesn't ever die, he's still in comics. so putting in pieces together to what we, in real time, already know about batman was perfect. there's a robin, theres a catwoman, and everyone's alive. they didn't explicitly show bane die so that's another open end that connects to the batman culture.

There will be another batman, just not directed by Nolan.

I have no doubt that there will be another Batman movie, I just hope they already have a writer, director, and cast in place. The last thing I want to see is for the next movie to get shit canned like so many other movies do when they go through the Hollywood bullshit. They better have Levitt, Oldman, and Freeman already on contract for it at the very least.

    SPOILERS YA FUCKS

The whole movie I knew there was something more to Blake, as he never said his full name. He fucking introduced himself to National Defense with a single name.

Nolan is actually my favourite director now. He closed off the franchise in such a way that allowed it to continue, but with a whole new main character and probably a new director. One of the few loose ends in all the movies is The Joker.. You expect that guy to stay in prison? Robin needs a villain anyways.. Also loved the Scarecrow cameo. And basically everything.
    Wat.

of course blake is robin. why the fuck would some random ass street beat cop have such a major role in the movie otherwise? so many people cheered at the end when they basically announced he was going to be robin. how was it not blindingly obvious?
