I thought I posted this already but I don't see it.

Am I the only one who really liked the DW maxi-pad instep strap? Gave a more continuous feel relieving pressure points and added at least some stability. And it didn't look bad (maybe better) once you painted it black. I do my skates up tight. I don't want none of that movement in there. So I would get some rubbin' from the end of the ankle strap and top of the toe strap (which I was skating without pads)

I hated that fucking thing...I sold my dw xsjados after the first sesh, fucked up the point of xsjados IMO. Plus they remind me of the weird hybrid thing DW was rocking on the cover o daily bread back in like 04? Doing a back full torque on a cart cage thing...I think they were open shell gens type things, ugly though. I see why Bonni was so juiced about these now, I'm pretty juiced about them as well.

Some would argue that the reason the XSJ2 has only two cuff sizes is to maintain backwards-compatibility across the size range, but really it was a budget thing, AFAIK (mo molds, mo money), and the plan is to fill in the cuff sizes (and maybe the tongue/instep sizes too? I hope?) at some point in the future, to create four completely independently-sized skeletons. Which would not be backwards-compatible in the two new sizes... but the two original sizes would be, so if you want to get semantic, you're still 100% compatible, it's just that the sizing shortcomings of the first skate are still there.
I wouldn't say it's much of a shortcoming, I think the cuff sizing is solid.

Also, Garlinghouse was rocking some at the riot and the soulplates looked barely worn down. I could see the metal from the toe straps poking out (probably from cess slides). Not cool.
