So after the 2 pages i read of the exact same thing being said over and over again i decided to share my opinion.

I used to skate Roces, my first skate. I LOVED them. Tried the M12's (wasn't a big blader at the time cause i was young).
Then I ended up not blading again till 2 months ago and in the process of deciding on new inlines I found out the fact
that Valo used the M12 boot but threw style on them that was good to look at that is a completely different style then other inlines.

Yea sure its an old mold but it was a good mold and people seemed to like it so why not keep using it instead of taking
a chance with a new mold. Yea they came out and made a light shell that has its flaws. But the next one will be better and the
next one will be even better. So I don't see how Valo could be anything less than a great brand that could make anyone happy.

Im not going to touch on the ownership with Julio but by the quality of products and media I think whomever is running this
    should keep it up.

you skated m12's then took more than ten years off and then tried valos and found them to be different? Why am I not surprised ?

one thing confuses me tho; why do you look like you are 12 in your sig?

im sorry, i never said the valos were different. I stuck with a boot i was confident with and instantly got back into the groove of things. and i wondered that myself, im 6' tall yet look short as fuxk in those shots. meh, ohwell, new sig comin' up

Can someone fill me in on what's going on here? I've been out of the loop.

So was it uncovered that Julio doesn't even own Valo? Does Roces partly own it? Or fully own it?

It was uncovered that Julio wasn't actually mixing plastic compounds on his stove top and pouring them into hand carved molds, DESPITE what we all assumed. "Uncovered" is a good term for it too, because why do you think Julio put skins on his skates? Thats right, so we wouldn't see the awful truth. He really pulled the wool over our eyes, literally, seeing as there is most likely some wool in the skins.

Not sure if this has been touched upon, but a lot of people still remember the way Box Magazine's publisher got bought out by a big corporation and the whole zine got shut down. Tom Hyser, a regular contributor, came out and exposed the extent to which corporate sponsors and advertisement were supporting the mag. He said something like; there's a shit load of other companies out there just in it for the money and the only way to secure the brands/mags/companies we're building is for them to be skater owned.

I wouldnt stress it, skatings come a long way. Mountain Dew and Swatch used to run shit. There are a ton of good people in charge now.
