Damn talk about a broken record. If this is the boot company I am thinking of, the reason they're keeping their identities under wraps is b/c they have existing sponsors. You gotta believe there is at least one person involved they can throw out there so ppl know what's up.

You can’t keep EVERYTHING under wraps, no one even knows who you are!

We can do a basic interview and still keep it fairly exclusive and under cover. If you are a well-known blader, just give a hint as to who you MIGHT be.

You don’t want to show the boot concept, fine. Just give them the basics. Standard boot, open shell, step in, any general information will make people feel more comfortable about coughing up $100."

    Their response:

    "Hi Christopher,

    Thank you for your e-mail.

We know you have questions, sorry, but we're keeping this project under wraps. We will release more information once we start the tooling process.

Please Note, we have raised private capital and have multiple investors who are very interested. Aside from the tradional ways of raising capital and or kickstarter, we wanted to reach out to our inline community. Also, our Management Team combined has over 70 years experience in the Action Sports Industry.

Our goal is to ship everyone who supports their Limited Edition Skates and other FREE goods by Summer 2013, but no later than September.

If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to e-mail us back.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

    Best Regards,
    Reverse Sports"
Maybe they gave you that bland response because 1) who the fuck are you to interview them when they could interview with any content-hungry blade site out there 2) you immediately posted their reply online

I know, I was pretty "blade minded" when I wrote it because I assumed it was a rollerblader.

Didn't realize it was a bunch of old guys who think they have an inline community.

So it was my bad for assuming it was a company worth supporting, instead of some mass producer of all things "action sports."

This introduction to everybody was pretty pathetic but the company means good. The reason they have that "action sports" crap in there is b/c they are trying to appeal to everybody and get in bigger sports stores. As for those involved, it's legit and it's a game changer for sure. By donating $100 you are basically pre-ordering a pair of skates, which will be $100.

Not many would...unless they knew who was involved. That's the problem with them being so secretive. But I guess since the actual release is so far away, I understand they don't wanna put themselves out there a year+ ahead of time.

Well powerslide is established. Everybody knows who is behind those products (or they don't care). This company is centered around guys that have existing sponsors.

Ok, alright. I will try to not be an asshole about it.

Just tell me this, are there any respectable rollerbladers involved with this project?

No, no...spill beans like this van did

I love kids. They're short, highly emotional people who don't know anything. They rely on their creativity and imagination to get by in the world. A world, I might add, filled with giants. Amazing feat.

LOL. So some pro's are trying to start their own boot company and are being totally shady and circumspect in their efforts to get funding.
