Pretty cool
very cool.
seem to recall seeing a skate plaza that had ledges that looked like koi fish you could grind. cant seem to find pics of it though
Ikea parks.
I want my parks to be ugly as shit and in the middle of the ghetto. Let's me feel "cultured" and in touch with society.
I'm with R-money on this. Though I don't think any of my friends would agree![]()
Cultured, for me, means you are in touch with the bourgeois and high brow activities. I never really thought of cultured as playing handball in the Bronx, against a collapsing wall, with a bunch of Puerto Ricans.
Word, my park has a bunch of fucked up shit going for it...including pedophilia (sp?), and I'm not joking. This 18 yo skateboarder kid let this 13 yo girl give him head and have sex in his car because she wanted 2 squares. When it was all said and done he rolls his punk ass back in the park and brags to all his little budys about it. Good thing is they recently painted over most of the dumb ass graffiti that splattered everything in the park...it's still shitty though. I like beautiful looking parks in nice areas..I grew up in the hood and I don't like ghetto ass areas.
A good designed/fun to skate skatepark don't need to be all artsy looking for me. Bunch of DIY spots piled up does it for me. Have been to parks that cost a fortune that were completely boring to blade...
Monday, there is some parks in FT Collins you would love, completely weird and sort of simple low cost, kind of brutal on the mind and body to skate...but all out fun. Look up Smileys blade BBQ edit from last year and you'll see what I'm talking about. I'm on my phone and it's way to tedious to show on here.
I like to blade handrails constructed with used heroin needles and flipping into bloody maxipads instead of a foam pit
I learnt how to do such acrobatic movements by projecting myself from ledges into grassy areas. From there, I was able to successfully complete said task from various platforms, such as the top of a stair set, or a fuct gap from a parking lot into the next parking lot.
