As you get older you realize some people are just fucking losers. You can't let yourself associate with them otherwise you become a loser. Two pieces of advice. there will be much speculation based on my experience of this sort.

1. If you have been trying to get her to see the situation she is in for a while, then chances are she will not be able to see how much better she would be without this guy, or, she knows and is too scared to be "alone" and feels she is better off unhappy with someone then alone (eventhough she would have you and wouldn't be alone in her mind its different). In this case you need to either cut all ties if you really cant stand it, or accept it and let her make her own decisions yadda be unhappy yadda yadda (as long as she doesn't drag you into it or involve you directly)

2. If you have been laying off and letting her make stay in the relationship hoping she will see how bad she has it and leave (which by the way would probably never happen), then depending on how deep she is into this relation ship you may be able to redeem her and get her to leave this douche. In this case I would give it about a month, and you have to walk on egg shells because this dude sounds like the kind of guy that would go beyond beating your ass if he found out you were trying to get him out of the picture.
