Rollerblader Kyle Simpson on life support

Kyle was in a car accident yesterday (Friday, August 17), & is on life support at Fresno Community Hospital. His best friend said someone ran a stop sign & hit him. From what I understand, he wasn't showing much brain activity when he first arrived, but then moved his head & squeezed his fiance's hand while she was talking to him. Then later his brain activity got worse again.

Kyle grew up down the street from me, & I helped teach him how to skate. I had the pleasure of skating, driving him all over, taking trips, & hanging out with him for a number of years. We were the only rollerbladers in Reedley for a long time, & it was a joy to see him pass me up so quickly. He hadn't been blading a lot lately because he is a young dad & currently engaged.

If you wouldn't mind praying for Kyle, his fiance, family & friends I would greatly appreciate it. If you're not into that, no worries. Also, I'm half way across the country (driving from the east coast out to CA) in the Dallas area & am trying to figure out how/when to get out there (I have stuff I need to get done before I get to CA, & would love to hop on a flight & leave my car here but can't afford a plane ticket as of right now). Any ideas are welcome.

I will indeed keep this fellow blader and his family in my thoughts today. I hope everything takes a turn towards positivity as quickly as it can.

Okay. Stay up man. My friend was unconscious after he fell skating for over three months. He now has a kid and great wife which means a perfectly healthy family. Hopefully your buddy experiences the same, after result that is. I hope he wakes up tomorrow...

Wow that sucks, my condolensces.
Hopefully the fact he squeezed his girlfriends hand is a sign he will make it.

create a paypal account for helping you get a plane ticket?

i would support helping you see your friend before he passes away if his condition seems to be getting worse. surely if we can help the brittish homeless guy get from CA to FL we can help get you to from TX to CA to see your friend befor he passes away.
