thinking of getting new skates
ive got a full paycheck coming next week and im thinking i need or would like some smaller skates which brings me to my first question:
do you prefer your skates to be cramping your toes so that if you kick something/the ground it hurts so that there is no possible slippage of the foot anywhere? does it help your skating performance to have them toe cramping tight? does it hinder it?
since i have size 8 razors and they feel big would it be necessary to size down to a 7 or would that just be painful?
any remz-theyre all sick looking to me, just a little worried about how heavy ive heard they are
carbons-im fascinated by the carbon fiber base and want to see how light they really are/nt
white nimhs-ive always had razors so these would not be a big change except for the soulplate
valo eb1.3-i love the maroon material they use for the skin, no idea what it is but it looks neat and every edit i see them(valos in general) in they seem to skate reeeeaally smooth
i currently have size 8 shima 3s, my main problem with them is i think i get a lot of heel slippage and just overall slide aroundy-ness. im thinking this is more of a size issue than anything. another thing that bothers me is the size of the soulplate, waaay too narrow. also not feeling the somewhat high cuff that razors have and for that matter valo or nimhs either. im not sure if it would make much difference with valo or nimhs but i know the remz and carbons have a much smaller cuff.
im expecting to drop a full paycheck on this so price does not bother me at all
any useful input would be greatly appreciated
nimhs do not skate like razors at all
the toebox and heel positioning are completely different
i'd go with those or carbons
valos have a lower cuff than remz.
Remz aren't that bad in the weight department.
Nimh seem they would be pretty heavy.
All I can really help you with.
REMEMBER THIS, they are floppier than Remz due to this, I was pretty upset when I got my AB1's due to this fact alone.

apparently everything ive heard is wrong, thats why im asking
any personal experiences, reviews with any of the skates, pros, cons
and oh. you don't want the skates to cramp your toes. that makes no sense, it hurts and you can't skate as long as you'd want to.
i guess a better and more direct question would be, what is the skate that is going to fit to my foot the best and will not allow any slippage and still be lightweight
i have a pretty narrow foot which seems to be slowly flattening out and wear a size 9 in globe shoes
what to get
if you want to avoid slippage get xsjados.
Get carbons. Best investment I ever made
10 carbons or Valo/M12

I loved my remz so much.
Great flex(Skated with cuffs).
I found the souls to be amazing, slid well. Weren't too big nor too small.
Bs plate was good too. I liked how it was flush with the souls, hard to explain.
But hands down best skates i've ever ridden. Learned so many tricks with them.
Only downside is, I didn't like the newer boots. I was on the 03 UFS tan leather remz.
Then I got the LE all white Haffeys. They were good, but there was something different.
Didn't have that same feel.
So I cant really talk about the last few batches of remz that were released, but I went back to Classic razors.
Out of those I'd say go valo. Especially if you have a narrow foot. They were surprisingly comfortable when I rode them.
nimhs are the best, the toe cut makes it possible to go down a size or 2 (like in my case) and there is no heel lift in the first 2 generation liners.
i havent tried the new ones.
the souls are perfect
make sure you put a size 2 frame on them if you get a 6-7 boot. its more comfortable.
p.s. who wouldnt want a skate where you make your own groove to fit the way you skate...
if you have narrow feet and want a light skate get valos they are narrow and light but really flimsy.
but as for frames that's a tough one.

Not suggesting remz, but they aren't heavy at all.
