Combination of things. Including lining up the cuff's centre seam with the Xsjados.
Also, the cuff padding is secured via the original Xsjado strap bolt, it also holds the click buckle on. Also, if you look on the side of the Xsjado cuff, there is the curved indent; I basically used that as a guide on both sides. Makes the cuffs in the perfect place

I gotta chop down the black K2 soulframes because I'm just not feeling the dark gray heel cup. They look better in person, but still...

style points are my favorite k2's. i would ride with stock souls and just remove the toecaps.
I tired to skate them stock. For two days, I rode them around downtown Indianapolis during my lunch break, and going over brick paths and the cracks in cement killed my knee and back. I've had an ACL replacement and 2 herniated discs in my spine.
I just can't skate anything else other than Fiziks if I want to keep skating at all.

cut the frames off, and mount fiziks? i dunno, thats probably more work than it's worth / more work than carbon souls.

To answer both of you, I really like the carbon plates. They slide better, they lock better and they look better. It's just personal preference.
