Winterclash 2009 NOT in Mühlhausen!

Hello everybody,



We got some REALLY bad news.

The Winterclash will most probably (99% sure) not happen in Mühlhausen (Germany) again.

The skatepark did not fulfil the urgently needed obligations to get the permission for events.

They were lacking with that for the last 8 years and now the city government decided it’s enough.

I will not be allowed to organise the Winterclash in Mühlhausen again.



Now we’re looking into other options.

I hope I will be able to announce the backup plan in the next week.

If you guys have any idea which skatepark would be big and good enough for the Winterclash 2009 including the competition and the tradeshow please contact me right away. Every help is needed to make this happen once again.



I truly apologize to everybody who already booked hotels or other stuff. I hope you guys don’t have problems with cancelling it.

a few of us in lexington decided to rent out ollies skate park for 4 hours on december 6th....not sure the time yet, i havent talked to doug or michael about the time.

rollerbladers only. so far its 20 dollars per person, but the more that show up the less it will cost.

might be some mini comps, but definatly a good time.

come out and skate.

WINTERCLASH

Hello everybody,

I know we are pretty late with announcing the dat efor the Winterclash 2009. I want to apologize for that, but we got bigger problems than ever, fixing the date and the location for the event.

As you may have heard, we had the same problems every year, since the skatepark and the city aren’t sure about the permissions and other details. This time it’s even more complicated and right now I just can’t confirm the date.

In the new Be-Mag issue which should be available now, you will find a Winterclash advert, saying that the date will be 13th – 15th of February. But still, that’s not the final confirmation. Sorry for the mistake of publishing it. Right now I just want to inform you that you shouldn’t book flights, trains and busses, as long as we didn’t confirmed the date.

Please DON’T book anything yet!

You will get another newsletter (and find the information online) in the next couple of days. We are working hard to get everything fixed and I truly appreciate your patience in this case!

What's up Be-Mag. The guys at Skeptic Media are at it again. This time around we are hosting our 1st Street Park Comp "Fair is Fair" @ the Academy Skate Park in Woodbridge C.T. Saturday Nov 29th. We have been working hard to try and bring you a competition where it doesn't matter if your a Pro or an average Joe, the most consistent and creative skater will take the prize. Three categories will include Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. With the support of our sponsors we have some pretty dope prize packages for the top 3 skaters in each category. Come down and show your support, Skate the comp and have a chill time

Invitation German Vert Masters 08 - Registration + Competition Schedule + Detail Info


Its about one month and we'll be back in Berlin at the YOU-Messe again for the German Masterships Halfpipe 2008 and the 4th SAG European Challenge!
Like the last years we expect about 250000 Visitors over the three days and any kind of media as well.
This year we'll have a big area and even a humble street park to show the diversity of rolling.
Like all the years the German Masters will be open for foreign riders - same for the European Challenge Wink

Prize money: the European Challenge will pay 500 Euro prize money (1st 200/ 2nd 150/ 3rd 100/ 4th 50)
The German Masterships will give stuff to the riders which is sponsored by www.grindhouse.eu
Accommodation: We offer free accommodation for all foreign riders. You have to register for the comp a.s.a.p. or at least call or e-mail us to get this!
Catering: like the last years Marina will prepare free catering in the riders area (thx Marina!)
Entrance: riders will get access pass to have unlimited access to all fairground areas

Event t-shirts are provided by Cotton Club Berlin

January 24th in the Big Easy, New Orleans!!! Put on by Brian Starnes and Stuart Baird. $13 to compete and drink, $10 to compete, $5to drink. There'll be a skate park session on friday for anyone who comes up early. We're havin a pre game party followed by a trip to frenchmen or bourbon.
