Released in 2011, Ground Control came to define a years worth of achievement from the blading community. Featuring a strong roster of talent from the team itself and directed by Simon Mulvaney, this film tells a story of the frames beneath the feet of every GC rider. With the film coming to a close, Episode 11 gives us a brief insight into the insanity that is Joey Chase's blading. From massive gaps and huge kinks, to incredible switch ups and tech tricks, we see just why Joey is considered one of the best street skaters in the world. -Simon Mulvaney
SK hitting a rail in Kansas City, Missouri... And as if his tricks weren't ridiculous enough already, Farmer chimes in with the zero parallel fish...
Stephanie's smile is contagious. She's just been picked up by Loco which should give her even more reason to smile. Good for us!
Never judge a book by its cover, they said. Well, in case of Haitian Magazine's second issue we strongly advise to do so, because the content is nothing short of amazing, too! Major props to these guys for pursuing their dream and putting up with all the stuff that's currently in their way. Issue #2 of Haitian Mag will be in stores very soon, featuring Chris Dafick, Amir Amadi, Dean Coward, Billy O'Neill, and Elliot Stevens!
I was invited to Moscow for a street contest last summer. While I was there I was blessed to meet the man, the myth, the legend Andrey Zaytsev! He skates big stuff, he skates very fast, and he is always in control. Thank you Andrey, even in your passing you continue to inspire the world! -Josh Glowicki
This is Amsterdam's Golden Boy: Daan Hegt. Not only does he make skating look super nice, he has also created the soundtrack to this profile. Even though he is hardly skating these days , he still manages to kill it on the streets of Amsterdam. This lack of bladetime is mostly due to his efforts as a producer: together with his buddy Joel they are known to Amsterdam as 'Flash Grimey'. Go get their album at http://flashgrimey.bandcamp.com/
Valo have now confirmed the release of the long rumored second Brandon Smith boot. These skates will hit shops shortly, just in time for summer!
