Be-mag and Blading.info contributor Seán Ó Dálaigh has come up with a brilliant idea to document the history of some of our most revered skating icons and the skates that bear their names.

The BLADING HALL OF FAME is an online documentation of the most elite riders in blading history, the professional riders who received pro-endorsed skates from their boot sponsor.
Created by blading writer Seán Ó Dálaigh, this is a comprehensive collection of those skaters, and their name-sake boots, from the first Chris Edwards Rollerblade model to the present day.
It could be argued what criteria deems one worthy of being 'inducted' into a Hall of Fame. For the purposes of this page, there's one simple metric — that your boot sponsor deemed you marketable enough to produce and sell a skate with your name on it.
This measure alone throws up questions — are all bladers on the list equal in stature, contribution and influence on the sport? Further, there are big names who, through internal politics, sponsor shortsightedness / stubbornness, career threatening injury or controversy, never received a pro skate?
This site simply aims to factually document the pro-endorsed blades historically, as we approach the 20th anniversary of the first ever pro skate.
