Nimh Amateur - Montre Livingston

Who would have thought that the first Nimh Amateur is Montre Livingston? I would have expected someone who is more 'rock'!

Nice England T-shirt in the background, what were they thinking? The Kinks meets a tourist has a camel and creates lame?

That's definately a pretty weird choice yeah.

December 16th, 2007 @ 03:57 - by Michael_B Michael_B

Listen , you faggots:
1. STOP BLAME BE MAG FOR shit! Even if they say montre is Iron Maiden fan. Be mag is the media that shows the 90 % of the scene worldwide
2. STOP SEPARATE! WE are SKATERS! everything is on back line... I wear baggy pants and skate with a reggae fan and a emo- looking kid in a crew...
3. MONTRE is cool , but i think remz are the best skates for him we all have seen that videos where montre rides remz...!!!

December 15th, 2007 @ 18:00 - by Watch It Explode Watch It Explode

montre ios the only person who can hang with shima on gaps....he fucking mistry flips shit people wouldnt 180...this shit makes perfect sense...that is the exact type of skating shima and 4x4 have always represented...

oh god, how sensitive people take a little comment. like the post said it was lui summer that awaited someone who would be somewhat more rock. it is not like be-mag says, yada yada, needs to be more rock, we seperate, bla bla bla. just read what we write in the mag, just see how we work on putting togehter the global rolling scene over all accounts and over all styles. we are giving the limelight to unknown skaters, we are covering scenes from asia to europe over the usa. we don't go with trends, we show skating the way it is. I am missing the comments on one of our usual 10 other blog posts a day, giving props to lui for blogging his ass away, but instead everyone shows again that it is easy to bash someone as soon as something is misunderstood a little bit. note the way he wrote "rock", this is basically reflecting the thing what people discussed on boards and he wrote this there. not more not less, no pushing of the big old trend, noone is interested in that.

be-mag is the sum of everyone contributing to it, we have around 30 people for each issue, the online part is being done by 20-30 people too, we see this as a platform, we do our best to portray skating in a great way and we are bringing you content over and over.

since everyone seems so motivated suddenly here i would like to invite you to drop me a line at michael (at) be-mag (dot) com, perhaps someone would like to come through with some support for rolling and help with the website and updates. any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. Congrats Montre, congrats Nimh, fuck yeah.

December 15th, 2007 @ 13:43 - by b00gie b00gie

I just lost so much fucking respect for Be-mag after reading this shit. It only recently has seemed that the damage caused by this bullshit about pants and music has been calming down too...

Fuckingfuck on a fuck.

December 15th, 2007 @ 13:25 - by yeahirollerblade yeahirollerblade

montre is the fucking shit and he totally deserves that spot on nimh ..... rat tail isnt stupid they know what there doing

December 15th, 2007 @ 13:25 - by Be-Mag Be-Mag

if someone didn't recognize it...Montre is also Flow on 4x4...and have been Flow for longer now... (http://www.myspace.com/4x4wheelcompany)

Lui didn't mean it like how you guys are getting it...you are way to sensetive about that topic...and how FONK! said...no one really expect that...still wondering who gonna be pro on NIMH

December 15th, 2007 @ 12:50 - by jesuscereal jesuscereal

Ahh, come on guys, I think you are takin it the wrong way. I think whoever wrote it down for be-mag didn't mean like it should not happen for Montre, or it should not happen because of Hip Hop Rock seperation blah, blah bullshit....but it's something you would not expect when you compare Montre to anyone on the WHOLE Rat-Tail family. Because let's face it John and Shima do carry a certain (ughhuhhm, Rock) image...and yes I'm glad they are looking beyond that for people on their team like the rest of you...

December 15th, 2007 @ 10:54 - by IgnitionFame IgnitionFame

Didn't you know that Montre's middle name is HENDRIX?

December 15th, 2007 @ 06:49 - by Rand0mRoll77 Rand0mRoll77

Don't blame the whole be-mag crew for that.

It's basicly just another comment by author Lui Sommer, who in my opinion, shouldn't be writing for be-mag.
I don't like his style at all, but that's just my opinion.

Wow,

Be-Mag really likes to slowly degrade itself doesn't it?

It's always good to try and revive the dead horse of the "rock" and "hip hop" talk.

How about some in depth coverage on clothing styles!

NIMH knows whats up for picking a great skater. Congrats to Montre... He's with a wise bunch.

That Be-Mag comment however, was not wise.

December 15th, 2007 @ 03:49 - by rollerkoala rollerkoala

Be-mag- rollerbladings #1 "professional source"

change the comment.

December 15th, 2007 @ 02:32 - by chimofo chimofo

yeah, no offense, but that was a pretty lame comment on be-mag's part. congratulations to montre though...so good at such a young age, he's sure to be icon status as a member of rollerblading's professionals one day

December 15th, 2007 @ 02:18 - by brownies brownies

wtf does "being rock" have to do with riding on a skate team?

absolutely nothing. its a skate team, not a "rock band".

so that was a dumb comment on your part.

typical bemag.
