Shock: Gregory Preston - The Creative Wunderkind of Long Beach

Gregory Preston, The Creative Wunderkind of Long beach. When I first met Gregory I thought his dislike of coffee, trick vocabulary, crazy artistic abilities, and extreme hatred of ghetto hoochies was strange. I mean who can dislike coffee so much and yet do tricks like true negative mistrial to inspin Christ fish? However, now I realize those things are what make Greg the quirky rolling genius he is today. He is dedicated to everything he does; I’ve never seen him quit something once he’s set his mind to it. With his crazy hairstyle and fresh attitude towards rolling I firmly believe that Greg will be a name to look out for.

– Anthony Gallegos

What shaped your unique style of art and skating and what motivates you to keep pursuing it?

Well, my art is just something that I have always been able to do. I rarely draw, I usually draw at home on rainy days or for projects. Skating is what I do all the time for four years now. I have always had skates, but really started doing tricks when I was 14, I’m 18 now. My skating consists of tricks that come natural to me; I wouldn’t say I’m creative, rather a slight alternate trick vocab. What motivates me the most is to keep skating and drawing is to one day use these factors to be able to travel to as many places as I can. From now I still have a long way to go.
