Almost every Rollerblader in this world have most likely heard about last year's tragedy. One day before the Winterclash the Newpact skatepark in St. Niklaas (Belgium) in which the Contest should be hosted, burnt down. This was a desaster for the whole Winterclash-Team, for the whole Belgium scene, for 1300 Rollerbladers traveling to Winterclash and of course for the owner of the park. In the end, the Winterclash-Team (in association with different other helpers) managed to move the competition to Eindhoven (Area5) within less than 24 hours which is still unbelievable to many of us.
Some days ago Be-Mag received the news that the Newpact Skatepark from St. Niklaas will be rebuilt again in a different location. They found a big hangar of 5000m² (square meters) in, Kieldrecht-Beveren Waas (Belgium), which is close to St. Niklaas. You can already visit the park and skate the slidebox and mini ramp.
People that are interested in this project can send an email to the owner (newpact@live.be).
Keep on rolling, St. Niklaas.
