The Silver Lake Library is an amazing ledge spot if skate at the right times.
This spot is great. Nice little kink rail out front. 2 different sets of line ledges and some other interesting obstacles to hit up. Skaters have hit some unexpected tricks here. Jeremy Soderburg for one hits a transfer at this spot that is hidden in plain site. Anthony Gallegos ends his Chosen Few day in the life at this spot and nails a whole session of tricks here. VERY IMPORTANT!! you can not skate this in the day time Mon-Sat because cops have been known to come by and take skates as well as give tickets. Skating is possible here at night, there is average lighting. Not great for filming but not too bad. The kink rail is lit up quite well and the ledges are decent. Ledges are very good material and there are diffent sizes. There are two in a row to hit right on the side walk both are about shin to knee high ledges. Then there are another two on the other side walk. One is a tranfer ledge or can be at least followed by a small up ledge. There is a ledge off the stairs where the kink rail is as well. If you look around there are also some other tricks to be handled, you can get pretty creative at this spot. Make sure to bring wax because you can't wax a flat ledge too much. Great spot for a night session!!
