When Daniel Kinney threw the first ever Bittercold Show Down in 2001 the event was just a one-day event with 150 competitors, had no extra stage for spectators, no additional ramp set-ups - the event didn't even have an own website.

Alex Broskow has already shown in the past that he has got what it takes to be a world-class competitor. With podiums at some of the most important rolling events around the globe including NYC Street Invite, Blading Cup, Montreal Classic, World Rolling Series Finals, high expectations are usually placed on Alex. Alex was able to meet the high expectations this year.
It's Friday night and the qualification round is underway. Nine of 140 qualifiers compete to make it to tomorrow's AM event for a chance to move onto the Pro finals. As the combatants practice their runs, I met with JC Battle from Canada.
