As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. Blake Bird and Grif Kerry hosted the first skate competition in London for over 9 years. All the top UK riders turned out. It was a treat that bladers from over 10 years ago dusted their skates off and came for a roll including people like Imeon Hartwig, Charlie Lockyer, Taz, Sid, Jordan Murphy and Johnny Sabento.
The Chosen Few Milton Keynes Street Comp was a great event. We knew rain could be a factor and it was but it didn't matter thanks to the Bus Station Ledges. We did two spots there. 1st spot was the long T ledge. We said the whole place was open to skate for the first round but everyone sort of got stuck on this long ledge. Burston did one of the nicest true top souls ever all the way off the end cab out and Aaron Turner almost laced the 10 pound rebate trick on the ledge. The infamous true fish. With a grab, of course.
I've never missed a Chaz Sands Invitational since they began, with them never failing to leave a great impression upon rollerblading. Truthfully this year I turned up with the half thought of "Will it match the last 4 years?" How wrong I could have been...

Dano Gorman, Blake Bird, and Rosie Donoghue are killing it in the AIL at Woodward West Skatepark in Stallion Springs, California. In the AM world finals, Dano Gorman placed 3rd while Rosie Donoghue also placed 3rd in her world finals division. Give it up for a job well done.
