It is hard to put into words how very much I enjoy Adam Johnson´s work. Not only does he know how to capture the aesthetics of rollerblading in a way that appeals to a vast majority of the rolling community, but in addition he seems to dedicate every breathing minute to rollerblading related projects, be it VX, Street Artist or whatnot. For the last few years Adam has been on the road constantly. The routine of buying a van and turning it into his mobile headquarter appears to have become a fixed segment of his life. After filming for On Top and Charging, both extremely well received projects, he still had the energy to put his all into yet another feat.
So Cavin 035 made a DVD. A skate DVD. And it’s a banger! This guy filmed on two different continents and even went to an island where people drive on the wrong side of the road and don’t get where the steering wheel should be in a car. And yes, I am talking about the country England. The country that once thought they could conquer the Dutch on water. And we all know that only "ze Germans" can conquer the Dutch. And the only arena they can do that is on land. Am I Herman Cain right now or what? Anyway, Cavin catched them all!
Adam Johnson takes high risks to deliver the best skating possible all the way to your living room. Selling all his belongings to fund a flick and living in a van for months on end to film for your new favorite videos are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the many sacrifices this guy makes. No wonder he gets pissed when someone steals his and his peers' hard work. Read more about his opinions on intellectual property and find out more about his latest brainchild 'The 20 Project' which will feature some of the most interesting skaters of the sport.
As you might have seen it already pro rider Erik Bailey did a great performance on this year's BCSD. Here is a view on Valo's warm up pre session at the BCSD course.
Who is B.free (Brian Freeman)? Want to know more about his place with Street Artist, hip-hop, rollerblading (and skateboarding)? Check out the interview!
Imagine walking through the streets of downtown Houston, Texas, land of corporate greed and homeless drug addicts. You stroll through the festival infested, police ridden landscape, and then, off in the horizon, you spot a mob of what you think to be gangster white boys and all out rock stars.
All the skating was shot in one day in Oakland, CA. Was planning on shooting more than a day but BFree just recently got hurt filming for the new Valo video. With that said, enjoy this little edit we put together. -Bander Saleh
This is a short trailer proposal for what could be an action sports television show about rollerbladers and the culture surrounding their sport. It was originally produced for a studio in Texas that planned on selling the show, but since they don't know exactly what to do with it here it is for you. Rolling With the World follows Brian Freeman around the world to meet peoples of all cultures through the ties and bonds of rollerblading.
Brian Freeman took his skates out to shred a few spots with his friends. Besides skating he always tries to inspire the local youth about rollerblading.
Five more days to go for everyone out there to become a producer of 'The 20 Project', Adam Johnsons new blade flick. Recently a re-edit with footage of 'CHARG!NG' surfaced on the internet and this one should help to get an idea of what to expect from 'The 20 Project'. It also provides an answer to the ever so popular question of 'what video to show my friends that don't skate?'. Peep said video below and don't forget to become a backer!
So I made an edit to some Lil Wayne shit today for you to hate on. So hate a lil bit and complain to our secretary... -Adam Johnson
Here are a few of the tricks from the summer and some of the people involved in the project. These are the deals that the guys didn't feel would make it into their final part. I think they are crazy, cuz these tricks are dope. If you got some spare change dump it on us and prebook your copy. You know you are going to buy it eventually anyways! -Adam Johnson
