We've heard about the enthusiasm of the Colombian rollers from the pros who have visited Bogota before us and the articles/edits they made of their trip. When we passed the airport exit the love was overwhelming. Dozens of bladers from all over the country were there to welcome us and a number of them spent the evening with us. The food is good here, it tastes healthy and natural, and the good local beers got us lightheaded quickly since we are in a big city nested on a plateau at 8000 feet high somewhere in the Andes.
Earlier this year I had the great chance to spend three weeks in Portugal. I started my trip in Porto and stayed there at Marcello Oliveira's place. After some days of skating and filming for another project I went down south to meet up with Bruno Santos, who's the owner of Rove Skateshop in Leiria and made this little interview with him. We had great a time and it was really nice to be involved in his daily life!
In the second installment of "Rolling Artist" we catch up with one of the most progressive videographers in the biz, Vinny Minton. Vinny talks about his career in cinematography, how he managed to get his name out when he started, sheds light onto key ingredients of good camera work, his work ethics and also draws a detailed picture of what he's up to next. His enthusiasm and high standards of quality reflect in his work and are important components of his success.
Richard Wilson came out nowhere and decided to host a B.L.A.D.E competition in Dallas Fort Worth, Texas. He even invited his friend Matt Mickey of Intuition Skate Shop to help out with his first time event. All in all, this was just another excuse to bring together the disconnected blader crews of north Texas. Big ups to Big Bird and everyone that came out. -Pat Leal
Local ripper Harry Fearnall killin' it at boneyard, filmed over the space of a few months by Andrew Lawrence, while the park was getting renovated.
Check out this edit by the Seattle Skaters and go with Josiah Blee who performed five tricks at five spots in five hours. His skating is clean and impressive so watch it after the click!
Jeremiah came to AZ to visit me for 2 weeks last October. For one reason or another, we haven't gotten around to putting this out til now. Jeremiah is an extraordinary individual, blader, and friend. I filmed and edited this, but Jeremiah really "directed" it, and I couldn't be happier with his vision for this, and blading as a whole. We hope you enjoy. -Kris Troyer
In this edit Jan Niehues is showing he has some impressive skills in skating. Check out how he destroys the streets of Borken and Essen in Germany. Sit back and enjoy the edit made by Vlad Litvak.
Brian Arnold and I headed up to Woodward east this summer. We had planned to have fellow USD Team riders Tim Phang and Jeff Dalnas meet us there but at last minute they both weren't able to make it..We hope to get back to Woodward and make the full USD edit we had hoped for sometime soon. We still had a great time skating with the campers, Woodward staff and the Fuel Tv crew who are mostly bladers in case you didn't know.. -Nick Pisciotta
Check out how Ryan Parker tears up the place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and in San Diego, California. His sick tricks and solid style make this edit a must see...
