Preparing for months for one of the biggest competitions in Florida, Bladesgiving has turned out to be one of the funnest and biggest rollerblading events in the Southern United States along with the Pow-wow. And we are only in our second year! Skaters gathered from all over the country for a chance to rank up the WRS points and take home some cash and the huge trophy. Tim Franken, out of San Diego, Razors rider Wake Schepman, out of PA, Pro SSM rider Joey Chase and Razors flow Sammy Chase, out of Orlando, just to name a few. Also, coming all the way from Canada was our good friend Kevin Lapierre, who hurt his ankle warming up, and had to drop out of the contest. He made that huge trip, and our sympathies are with him, and we hope he recovers very soon.

Earlier this summer Mykel and I went on a trip to northern Arizona for some work. A couple weeks of work, good friends, good skateparks, hill bombs, camping, swimming, drinking, wheelin', trash fires and chasing lizards. It was a great time and we were ready to get the hell out of the desert.
This weekend we saw the 11th annual Mile High Battle commence as bladers threw down everything they had. This phrase might seem too commonly used when media outlets in the blade world discuss a competition that went on. But, from this writer’s eyes down to the fingertips that press the insignificant keys on a laptop, this competition was all but common. It was an event that saw the likes of Colorado’s top skaters, visiting competitors Brian Aragon and Jeph Howard, who Razors flew in for this special trip, up-and-comers from surrounding states, and a line-up of spots that seemed peculiar and fitting. Some features that at first glance seemed ordinary for a competition like this spawned the battleground for one of the most heated battles that included a front-flip out of a sweatstance.
From the deserted lands of Colorado, greetings y’all. Day two stacks as another banger for the books. As you can imagine the day started much slower. With the combination of 90+degree heat and lack of sleep from excessive campfire blader bonding the day moved slowly for some and for others it barely moved at all. Kicking it off around noon at Carbondale Skatepark, the scene seemed quite desolate as many of the attendees hugged to the shadows beneath the canopy. Others who could bare the heat in short cycles made their way over the broken-down pavement as each rider attempted to top the previous hit on the wall ride. At the same time 360 spins to topsides atop the cracked ledge on the opposite end of the park seemed to keep interest for those still closely huddled to their warming beers and shaded seats. After only a short while the decision was made to continue the journey onwards to an old bridge hanging above the Colorado River.
The trip kicked off at Silverthorne Skatepark at 10:45am as rollerbladers from all over began to pour into the already jam-packed parking lot. The headcount reached about sixty as all corners of the park were littered with tight pant wearing, urethane cruising, beer guzzling, road trippin’ rollers. Within minutes the warm-ups began soon followed by hammers getting dropped on everything. Now feature was left alone as misties and spins gliding through the air were as frequent as the broken in frames danced on the coping of the bowls and ledges. After three hours the skate laces were loosened as everyone began to pile back into their rides and head for food. Next stop, Edwards Skatepark just outside of Vail.
So another Con.Artist tour is upon us, and this time it's to the glorious state of Colorado. Even between full-time jobs, girlfriends, and school we were still able to pull a good crew for this tour.
This footage was shot at various resorts throughout the 2011/2012 season. Due to a separated shoulder Dave's season was cut short before he and Brandon Enouf were able to film their annual end-of-the-season edit. This is a collection of shots captured while Dave was still able to ride. They're back at it again. The Junk Show team breaks out the camera and heads south. Brandon Enouf decided to venture down to Dave Bloom's side of Colorado for some good times on the Western Slope. First up, Durango Mountain Resort, for some playtime on the smaller resort features. After that, it was time to head out to some real fun at Telluride Ski Resort, the highest summit resort in North America. Come, get dirty and steezy with the two troubles makes from the west. Cuddle up with a honey, set the lights low, pour a glass of merlot, turn up the speakers, and take it sloooooow.
The Junk Show is back! In the first episode of their second season, the Junk Show will take you from beautiful Loveland Pass to Vail owned resorts Keystone and the legendary A-Basin. With tons of snow to shred, the lime green features at A-Basin, and the jib-plentiful opening weekend park of Keystone, you know that you've got some entertainment on your hands. And, if that wasn't enough, these snollerbladers to get back to their roots and hold a ledge sesh indoors at the Woordward Skatepark in Copper, CO. Package this all and blow it up right from the start with a little end-of-summer montage and you got yourself some stoke to get the adrenaline pumping for that upcoming session today. Who knows, you may even want to try out some skiboards this year, too. But, just remember that Hollywood prefers to call them snollerbladers. Maybe because he's a skate OG, or because it really annoys people on the slopes. Either way, peep this banger and hang tight for more to come including a guest appearance from Nils Jansons, Franco Cammayo, and the skiboarding legend himself, Nicky Adams. Enjoy!

A recent Denver transplant, Howie has only been in town for about 6 months. In that short amount of time, he's managed to get in with the best dudes in the city and start his rise to blade fame and fortune. 21 years old and looking for trouble. This is just the beginning for Howie, keep and eye out for more quality blading from this guy very soon.
