Elliot Stevens seems as enthusiastic about Winterclash as we at Be-Mag. There's only one thing that gets us just as hyped up as having Winterclash in sight and that's sightings of Elliot skating. If you feel the same, the coming weekend may too result in an awesome overload for you. Guess we all have to deal with things like this from time to time. Good thing Winterclash is only once a year. Actually... wait a minute...?
Preparing for months for one of the biggest competitions in Florida, Bladesgiving has turned out to be one of the funnest and biggest rollerblading events in the Southern United States along with the Pow-wow. And we are only in our second year! Skaters gathered from all over the country for a chance to rank up the WRS points and take home some cash and the huge trophy. Tim Franken, out of San Diego, Razors rider Wake Schepman, out of PA, Pro SSM rider Joey Chase and Razors flow Sammy Chase, out of Orlando, just to name a few. Also, coming all the way from Canada was our good friend Kevin Lapierre, who hurt his ankle warming up, and had to drop out of the contest. He made that huge trip, and our sympathies are with him, and we hope he recovers very soon.
"There is a rollerblading festival going on under the highway bridge here in Brooklyn" I heard someone saying when we entered the venue. "People jumping over cars, grinding on a truck – you have to see this, it's crazy". Yeah the New York City Street Invite 2011 was an unique experience for everyone involved. Billy O'Neill and Daniel Kinney (founder and organizer of BCSD) don't talk much – they are doers and do things the right and professional way. I guess people recognize this and that's why the NYC Street Invite gathered bladers from all over the world to battle it out on some real street one-of-a-kind obstacles especially created and set-up for this contest. So Billy and Daniel did not only take care of the obstacles for the contest, they also made sure that they've had all permissions and insurances needed for the contest. We at Be-Mag also felt that this contest was going to be a big deal, so we decided to send a team to New York to cover the event properly. But good things take time.
While Sam DeAngelis puts the final touches on his edit of the NYC Street invite, here is a photoset to hold you over.
Aarin Gates loves to blade and smile. It's infectious. She'll make the whole crew smile without saying a word. She has great energy, and continues to stomp out every trick with passion and style. I've been blading for 18+ years and can honestly say that I have never seen a female with the strength and style that Aarin possesses. So today we present to you, her "One Minute One spot" filmed at Santa Ana Skate Park. Special thanks goes out to Xsjado, Create Originals, Denial and SDSF Blade Shop, the people who support Aarin.
Here is few clips of Mr. Nicky Adams. We filmed in Montreal at SouthParc (skatepark of the Montreal classic WRS competition) last week in order to offer you this short video edit. Nicky was in the Salomon Pro Team back in the day and he won the X-games in 1999. He had few exposure these last years but he never left rollerblading. He is one of the most professional skaters I ever skated and filmed with. He laces his tricks first try most of the time and always does it with the biggest smile and swag ever.
On March 26, 2011 the third annual New Orleans Bayou Bash went down with over 20 competitors. Competitors were mainly from the south coast (Texas, Atlanta, Florida, Mississippi) and local New Olreanians which was great. Everything from the hammers, to the burgers, to the after party was amazing.
We are back! The tradeshow just opened and it's shopping time. The big players in the rolling industry are representing at this year's BCSD - not only with their Pro riders, but also with their latest products. Steve Henry gives an insight into the tradeshow action with this edit here. Peep it.
Besides a few phone calls as of recent, Mathieu Ledoux was much the same to me as many of you out there. A fresh face, with mind boggling new maneuvers. One difference is I in fact had been following Mathieu's skating for a couple of years now. Not knowing anything of him personally. I viewed each section as a fan, and looked forward to the next.
The latest "Let's Roll New York" weekly session recently went down at the new Pier 62. Ryan Loewy and Cesar Macay delivered this great photoset of all the action - including the announcement of Create Originals' newest pro, Montre Livingston!
For the past few months it's been pretty hectic. I'm currently filming for three sections, and trying to manage a full time school schedule, however I managed to get some clips from our weekly park sessions. Big thanks to everyone who helped me film, and a special shout out to Matt Genna. Hope you all enjoy! -Jon Fromm

Take a look at some of the highlights from the first Create Originals Online Edit Contest. I apologize to anyone who was not included in the edit. It is nothing personal, there were just some errors due to video formatting. The next contest will have specific video requirements in order to include everyone in the next highlight montage. Thanks again to everyone who made this contest possible. -Dave Lang
2011 is at it's end. We still have some time to squeeze out one of the last 2011 profiles of this year. This time it is Rob Squire's edit by Jon Fromm and he is killing it as expected. So be sure to check out Rob's profile before you are too drunk to rember or do anything. Enjoy!
Create Originals just presented their line of clothing for winter 2012. They also present Brian Shimas first CO frame which will hit shops very soon.
With the new year just a few more days away, I figured I'd slap together a little remix edit of some the clips used in different edits throughout the year. -Jeff Dalnas
Many skaters have came and gone throughout the short history of our sport. Many talented people who have impacted blading immensely have came and went within a few short years, no longer to be seen again. Only a handful have lasted the test of time and continue to progress skating to insane levels today. Our newest pro rider for Create Originals is one of the most iconic pro's that our industry has ever seen. Nobody has been skating as hard and as raw for as long as he has. He has an unmatchable track record throughout the years complete with legendary sections, interviews and contest placings. This guy's just one of the greatest and we couldn't be happier to have him down. Ladies and gents, please welcome Brian Shima to the CO pro team. -Billy O'Neill
Jeremiah came to AZ to visit me for 2 weeks last October. For one reason or another, we haven't gotten around to putting this out til now. Jeremiah is an extraordinary individual, blader, and friend. I filmed and edited this, but Jeremiah really "directed" it, and I couldn't be happier with his vision for this, and blading as a whole. We hope you enjoy. -Kris Troyer
Judging by this edit, 2011 has been a very successful year for Chynna. I open this can of Ravioli hoping to see much more of her exquisite blading in 2012!
