Sheffield's House skatepark once again hosted the Noiya Jam, the setting for the UK's top bladers to shred in a city better known for its street spots. Steel yourself...
The morning of Laced was freezing cold. While the rest of England was gripped in snow, it seemed to just rain ice in Liverpool. No amount of layers could save you. Inside, Rampworx was no better and we clung to our cups of coffee for the illusion of warmth.
Elliot Stevens giving us a piece of mind.
Elliot Stevens seems as enthusiastic about Winterclash as we at Be-Mag. There's only one thing that gets us just as hyped up as having Winterclash in sight and that's sightings of Elliot skating. If you feel the same, the coming weekend may too result in an awesome overload for you. Guess we all have to deal with things like this from time to time. Good thing Winterclash is only once a year. Actually... wait a minute...?
A couple of weeks ago I ended up in Brighton after craving another little trip down south after the weekend adventure that was Nass. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as kind as the weekend before and it seemed we brought Manchester's good old wet weather with us to Brighton.
The #1 gratification for doing these street comps is recognizing the great talent the rollerblading world has to offer. Achosen-Few likes to personally recognize the talents of each of the top 3 competitors from all the Chosen Few competitions this year. If you or your friend finished top 3 at any ACF comp expect to see his name in this article. Curtains up for Tyler Hester, Anthony Luna, Russell Day, Cyril Daniel, Daniel Henderson, Lucas Landthaler, Arsenio Patterson, Mark Wojda, Shane Thompson, Eugen Enin, Beat Schillmeier, Iain McLeod, Alex Burston, Michael Braud, Dylan Hopp, Bartek Zgrzeblak, Jon Erickson, Chris Murphy, Jose Henriquez, Dan Mclaren, Robin Weber, Russell Dineen, Tom Burch, Jon Fromm, Bartek Kasprzycki, Pat Curran, Blake Taylor, Cameron Card, Elliot Stevens, Danny Figgz and Stephane DeFreitas.
The Chosen Few Milton Keynes Street Comp was a great event. We knew rain could be a factor and it was but it didn't matter thanks to the Bus Station Ledges. We did two spots there. 1st spot was the long T ledge. We said the whole place was open to skate for the first round but everyone sort of got stuck on this long ledge. Burston did one of the nicest true top souls ever all the way off the end cab out and Aaron Turner almost laced the 10 pound rebate trick on the ledge. The infamous true fish. With a grab, of course.
I've never missed a Chaz Sands Invitational since they began, with them never failing to leave a great impression upon rollerblading. Truthfully this year I turned up with the half thought of "Will it match the last 4 years?" How wrong I could have been...
Good things take time - you all know that. We haven't been the first to throw out the Chaz Sands Invite 2011 contest edit. But we are sure that this what you can see here compensates your waiting. Richard Johnson send in some pics he took during yesterday's Chaz Sands Invite 2011. While you are skipping through the pics Richard is working on the exclusive edit for the event. So check back later to view the edit right on be-mag.
