Blake Bird and Grif Kerry hosted the first skate competition in London for over 9 years. All the top UK riders turned out. It was a treat that bladers from over 10 years ago dusted their skates off and came for a roll including people like Imeon Hartwig, Charlie Lockyer, Taz, Sid, Jordan Murphy and Johnny Sabento.
The Chosen Few Milton Keynes Street Comp was a great event. We knew rain could be a factor and it was but it didn't matter thanks to the Bus Station Ledges. We did two spots there. 1st spot was the long T ledge. We said the whole place was open to skate for the first round but everyone sort of got stuck on this long ledge. Burston did one of the nicest true top souls ever all the way off the end cab out and Aaron Turner almost laced the 10 pound rebate trick on the ledge. The infamous true fish. With a grab, of course.
If you are into European Rollerblading, you might have come across the Amsterdam local Edwin Wieringh. Dutch, cleanest style ever, textbook truespin topsouls, always in a good mode and full of power – those are just some characteristics for a guy who loves Rollerblading more than anything else in his life and that often shreds the Amsterdam streets just by himself. There are some Rollerbladers in our industry that are known worldwide for their extraordinary talent although they have never won an international contest title. Edwin Wieringh has been one of those people – at least until the weekend of June 11th 2011 when he took the Chaz Sands Invite 2011 Amateur comp. When we got the results from our local media team there was a big "Halleluja!" going on in the office. It was just a matter of time that Edwin would win an international recognized contest. We thought that's reason enough to catch up with the Dutch super dude. Curtains up for Edwin "from hell" Wieringh.

Rob Pruett what can I say, I’ve known this guy/machine for some time now and while I’ve seen rollerblading change over ten years and the tricks progress from a soul on a kink rail to someone throwing down a tech 540° to whatever. It's amazing, don’t get me wrong. It’s fantastic to see the dedication and commitment that guys have to do tricks like this, but it’s also amazing to see one of the very few people left that just goes big, one of the guys who just gets up after taking the skin to the bone after bailing on a 25 foot gap and then just getting up and trying again. Kids take note, there is another side to rollerblading, it’s in the form of RP.

A Tour organised by Steven Roy Collis, put together for fun, frolics, and skating with chums from all round southern England. Local hero Steve, decided the best way to make a successful tour would be......to find ten or more people, throw one hundred pounds in each, hire a van, then get me to drive everyone around the South West of England to skate and party for a week.
Fragmented Networks aimed to show UK rollerblading very much in a ' get you juiced' ' i'll watch this quick before I go skate' way. Almost an old school circa 2000 type vibe, good skating and good music put together to create an upbeat tempo DVD.
