The Goulburn Fruit Jam, held in outback Australia for the second time running, never ceases to surprise me. We pick quite a good skatepark, in the middle of nowhere, and a whole bunch of rollerbladers turn up from all over Australia. This is the type of dedication we see in rollerbladers all over the world, we'll mission anywhere to just make it to a comp and catch up with our mates. This year was no different, with even more rollers coming from even further corners of Australia than last year.
The Goulburn Fruit Jam is back for 2011! Australia's first rollerblading competition for the year is about to get underway!
The Goulburn Fruit Jam 2011 is heading back to rural NSW, otherwise known as "the outback" this weekend. Rollers from all over Australia – Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Tasmania and Queensland are all expected to attend. As well as a number of international skaters who are chilling in Australia as we write this article. Danny Jensen, last years champion is expected back this year to defend his title and his honour. The Canberra Pre-Sesh Tour will start on February 17th and will end on Saturday 19th at the Goulburn Fruit Jam. Check out the flyer for further info and make sure you attend one of the stops!
The Goulburn Fruit Jam is on again in 2011 at the Goulburn Skatepark in New South Wales on February 19th. Goulburn Fruit Jam will be the same chilled out event as last year. Peer judged all day, skate when you feel like it, and a 10-15minute jam session to cap it all off around 3:30-4pm.
