If you'd ask people who have seen Guillaume skate, terms like "steez", "swag" and "next level" would be used to describe Monsieur Le Gentil. Let's see how Guillaume describes his Winterclash experiences past and present.
Razors Pro Stefan Horngacher is up next in our 'Perspectives on Winterclash 2012' series. He has never missed a Winterclash in the past seven years so he definitely knows what he's talking about.
As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. So while you’re recovering from the festive celebrations, crack open another can and have a look back at this small reminder. Here are the ten most popular videos from 2011!
I've known Jason for a decade now and the first word that comes to mind when thinking about him is 'dedication'. And the second one is 'leader', no doubt. During the past years Jason used to skate no-fun-at-all-super-high-dead-drop-rails on a daily basis with a to-do list of tricks to improve his skills. This meant that he was skating alone most of the time because nobody in his city and just a few in Italy would be able to skate the same spots. Today, Jason has grown to the best all around blader that Italy has to offer and his attitude makes him a role model for the young and a great asset to the Italian scene. He is always the first to put his blades on and the last to put them off. His dedication is contagious.
Are you as excited about the new Ground Control video as we are? You probably should be. For over a decade Ground Control have been leading the pack in frame design and have become a staple in the rollerblading community. In order to commemorate the videos release we’ll be giving away three free copies in a prize raffle!
Preparing for months for one of the biggest competitions in Florida, Bladesgiving has turned out to be one of the funnest and biggest rollerblading events in the Southern United States along with the Pow-wow. And we are only in our second year! Skaters gathered from all over the country for a chance to rank up the WRS points and take home some cash and the huge trophy. Tim Franken, out of San Diego, Razors rider Wake Schepman, out of PA, Pro SSM rider Joey Chase and Razors flow Sammy Chase, out of Orlando, just to name a few. Also, coming all the way from Canada was our good friend Kevin Lapierre, who hurt his ankle warming up, and had to drop out of the contest. He made that huge trip, and our sympathies are with him, and we hope he recovers very soon.
One of Europe's longest running contests, the infamous X-Mas Jam, is taking place in Hamburg Germany next weekend. We talked to organizer Jonn Rübcke to see what we can expect from this years event and also how he plans to take the whole thing even further this year. Two days, competitors from all over Europe and 3000 € in prize money. This is going to be big!
This weekend we saw the 11th annual Mile High Battle commence as bladers threw down everything they had. This phrase might seem too commonly used when media outlets in the blade world discuss a competition that went on. But, from this writer’s eyes down to the fingertips that press the insignificant keys on a laptop, this competition was all but common. It was an event that saw the likes of Colorado’s top skaters, visiting competitors Brian Aragon and Jeph Howard, who Razors flew in for this special trip, up-and-comers from surrounding states, and a line-up of spots that seemed peculiar and fitting. Some features that at first glance seemed ordinary for a competition like this spawned the battleground for one of the most heated battles that included a front-flip out of a sweatstance.
On March 26, 2011 the third annual New Orleans Bayou Bash went down with over 20 competitors. Competitors were mainly from the south coast (Texas, Atlanta, Florida, Mississippi) and local New Olreanians which was great. Everything from the hammers, to the burgers, to the after party was amazing.
I have been working on this video called 'Fester' for a year or so. I have been working on this with Nick Wood, Lyle Shivak, Joey Chase, Jon Jon Bolino, Casey "CORN NUT" Mc Farland, Mathieu Ledoux and many others. It is a project that I am extremely proud of. And the first in a long time at that.
Check out this 2011 Profile on the Time DVD of Guillaume Le Gentil. The edit is filmed by Jim Manouche in France and Spain and filled with sick tricks that make Guillaume stand out among the others. Hit play and enjoy!
The 1st annual DFW B.L.A.D.E. Tournament in McKinney, Texas was a good time and a complete success. 20 bladers from all over Texas battled it out at three spots for cash and prizes. In the end, Josh Navarifar skated his way to a first place victory. After the official after party at Delaney’s Irish Pub and Grill in McKinney, OG Dallas blader/socialite Jason Reyna was kind enough to escort us into his home turf of Deep Bellum for a night out. There we hit up the Double Wide to hang out, and met the original singer from Pantera – Terry Glaze. We closed out the night at Serious Pizza, and after watching the Ground Control video at Jason’s house, it was time for sleep. Check the exclusive gallery and official results below, and stay tuned for the official edit from Pat Leal.

Erik Bill compiled a quick little edit with some recent footage he had on his computer. Check out how his awesome stye as he rips the streets apart. Enjoy!
Every frame has a story to tell. Every scratch is a letter, every chip a flare of creativity, every mark a test of endurance, every groove a path of accomplishment. Every ramp, every rail, every fall, every cheer, every journey. Every trick you land and every trick you don't, carved into a layer of plastic, concealed beneath our feet. Every frame has a story to tell. This is ours.
Over the summer while working on the Ground Control project as well as filming for the Razors AM Video, I had the chance to link up and film some of the most wicked upcoming skaters around the globe. Here just a small collection of some clips that I got to keep outside of the filming done for 2 videos in one hectic summer filming schedule. Without a doubt one of the best years I've had in a long time and I am looking forward to what the 2012 horizon brings to rollerblading. -Max Manning
Cameron Card just uploaded his latest profile edit. Supported by the industry, but most importantly, his wife and family, Camerons passion for rolling has never been so strong. Check it out in Cameron Cards sweet edit.

Before moving east for college, Cameron Card takes one last look back at his experience within the Utah skate scene. From his camera to your eyes you get your own peek into the salty state’s brotherhood of bladers. This is something we can all relate to as the close knit brotherhood within Utah is what we all feel and connect to within our own scene. It is hard moving on from a family like that to a new place. What makes blading so special is that even in an instance where we have to start fresh in a new world the skating community is always there waiting with open arms of camaraderie.
