As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. So while you’re recovering from the festive celebrations, crack open another can and have a look back at this small reminder. Here are the ten most popular videos from 2011!
Adam Johnson takes high risks to deliver the best skating possible all the way to your living room. Selling all his belongings to fund a flick and living in a van for months on end to film for your new favorite videos are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the many sacrifices this guy makes. No wonder he gets pissed when someone steals his and his peers' hard work. Read more about his opinions on intellectual property and find out more about his latest brainchild 'The 20 Project' which will feature some of the most interesting skaters of the sport.
'Fester' is a video starring Damien Wilson, John Bolino, Casey McFarland, Lyle Shivak, Joey Chase and me, Nick Wood. For this project we did it the old fashion way, by getting a bunch of tough ass bladers together and putting in over a year of blood, sweat and tears. This is a preview of the "Blood, Sweat and Tears" part. I appreciate the newer style and trendy skating these days, but our guys – like I said – are hard core and still put their ass on the line when shooting for a video.
I don't know about the rest of the world but in the US Lyle Shivak is a very respected OG skater. He has paid his dues and contributed many of his own innovations to our sport. For some reason in his +10 years of shooting sections in some of the top videos of the decade he has never been a main stream pro. He laced the first 360° Fish ever in a video in the 2001 Daily Bread video "Under The Influence", And pioneered many more of the now termed "Spin to Win" tricks.

In part 11, our plane sets down in Lima, Peru. The first place we went after the airport was a restaurant with a giant owl on the wall. It was so similar to the Nimh logo, we knew we had come to the right place.

On the other hand Montre Livingston, John Bolino and some friends provided some badass clips. Just watch the edit if you want to see hammers one by one.
Between all the Skate tours and the big contests going down in Europe, we still have some more exclusive coverage from the Nimh South America tour. This is the intro for the Fester Team Video. We made it just a Trailer for the whole Video because in real life thats what intro's are. We had a song picked for the intro for a long time but at the last minute I heard this one and knew it was the right feel for Fester. So, if you like this trailer there is plenty more where that came from, so go out and buy the video. -Nick Wood
