The Escape from New York Tour is an idea I came up with after spending a month and a half in California earlier this year. As I toured up and down the coastline I met some of the most amazing and memorable people I have ever encountered. I found myself submersed in deep conversation with industry legends such as Louis Zamora, Justin Eisinger, and Lonnie Gallegos. I can’t thank these guys enough for the insight they bestowed on me because without them I would have never manifested such a project.
Welcome to the 6th Annual Last Man Standing Street Competition brought to you by Victor Callender and Wheels In Motion. Victor started the contest series to bring more awareness to New York City's Rollerblading scene. This year the contest was held Uptown in a place locals have deemed "The Pit." With its variety of obstacles and acceptance from the parks department, "The Pit" created a perfect setting for the competition for a second year in a row.
We come to you with another helping of photographs from this years Last Man Standing Competition, with a view on what went down during the 2nd round. Photos by Ryan Loewy
While we get all of our footage together, Ryan Loewy comes through with a hefty load of photos from the first round of the 6th Annual Last Man Standing Competition.

Friday February 11th, 2011 had arrived and the majority of the Tri-State area's rolling family was in attendance for the highly anticipated premiere of the film "Fitted". The Millennium Theatre which seats 100 people comfortably was now packed and ready for showtime. "Fitted", which is the 2nd film from Joseph Perez and ImagyneThat.com, was compiled with some of the best talent that New York and New Jersey has to offer.
Today we want to introduce you to Joseph Perez and want to show you a brand new trailer for his upcoming film "Fitted". Joseph is working hard to get this film finalized. However, it's very difficult for him to fund this project entirely on his own. So he started a kickstarter project. Check out more below and view this promising trailer.
As last week Be-Mag is once again the first online source to provide an edit showing the madness at this year's Last Man Standing 2010. Our New York correspondent Joseph Perez (as well as different others) attended the event to capture the best tricks from the best Street Skaters in this world. Here is a first edit and a first review of the contest. Read on.
Be-Mag sent out one of his New York ambassadors, Joseph Perez, to the first round of this year's Last Man Standing competition. The New York skate scene has been blowing up strongly over the last couple years. Due to the recent New York edits floating through the Rollerblading media the rise of the scene has become even more aware. The first round of the Last Man Standing comp was just another testimony for it. Joseph covered the full event for us and reconstructed the hype that went down there. If this is the Amateur level, I wonder what can be expected next weekend from the PRO-category. Good to know we are sending out again people to cover the event for us here. But now it's time for the Amateur coverage. Enjoy it.
Ramelle Knight comes up with some serious bangers for his FITTED section. You might recognize some of the NYC spots he is shredding in this section, but some of his tricks he pulls out are pretty unique.
Some of the top skaters in the Bronx holding it down for the city. Currently filming with Mikey Cancel, Rafael Herrera aka Bronx Legend, Jose Henriquez aka Ribs, John Staten aka J.Kruga, Ramelle Knight aka Fetty, John Stephens & Carlos Montenegro simply known as "Los" along with many more.
Dave Toro and the homies from ODNY have come through with an excellent 6 minute edit covering the 2011 Last Man Standing. Have a look after the jump.
This weekend hosted the annual 2011 Last Man Standing competition in New York City and showed the world that rolling’s undying thirst to bring bladers together could not be stopped by even mother nature and the worst she could throw. Several weeks ago New York City, along with the rest of the eastern seaboard of the United States, was pounded by Hurricane Irene. As if that wasn’t enough, in the wake of all damages caused a tropical storm soon followed up and added to the destruction. The Last Man Standing event was supposed to take place over the weekend following Billy O’Neil’s New York City Street Invitational. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances with the condition of New York City at the time the event was postponed indefinitely. Lucky for us and the spirit of rolling LMS was rescheduled for this weekend and only several hours ago it all went down, burly as usual, and Staten Island’s own Franco Cammayo represented his local scene and took first place.
Great recap of the ACF NY Street Comp. Check it out for some sweet clips on legendary NY spots. Quite a few legends in there as well.
See Ramelle Knight, Jose Henriquez and Julian Flanders rocking the Rad Skatepark. This ad will also be featured in Perez' upcoming release fitted.
Check out this 8 minute edit from LMS 2010 in NYC.
