When us skaters talk about doing it right or being professional Zach Nelson and Matt Farnworth are people that come up quick under that definition. They are the owners of We Are One skate park. A skate park completely built by them personally for rollerbladers. This indoor park was professionally done. Nice wood, good coping, everything slides for a change even before you wax it, It's like skating woodward. So ACHOSEN-FEW.COM decided to team up with them to do a nice crazy competition the first week they officially opened the park. We decided to make the format a street format considering it is a part of the Chosen Few street comp series.
Erik Bill has been working tirelessly over the last few months to complete his most recent video "Dayshapes" which features profiles on Cameron Card, Dan Dickerson, Nicholas Swan, Phil Davidson, Jeff Stanger, Erik Bailey and himself. Before building the challenging We Are One Skate Park, the builders had to be sure everything went smoothly. In order to do so, they built the Flowzone in the backyard, and the 3ft half bowl in the garage as the testing grounds. Mat Farnworth, and Zach Nelson created this ramp in Mat's backyard with the help of many friends like Justin Mousley, who edited this video. This is how they spent their summer kickin it in the Flowzone. Enjoy!
Over the weekend of November 4-5, the We Are One Skatepark team riders went out to Woodward West for the 2011 AIL World Championships. They were mobbin' deep with Justin Mousley, Tad Tregeagle, Jon Easy, Tony Rivituso, Chris Napoleon, Richie Rodriguez, Mat Farnworth, and Zach Nelson. This was their experience out at Woodward West and as per usual they were stomping every feature at the park. Before moving east for college, Cameron Card takes one last look back at his experience within the Utah skate scene. From his camera to your eyes you get your own peek into the salty state’s brotherhood of bladers. This is something we can all relate to as the close knit brotherhood within Utah is what we all feel and connect to within our own scene. It is hard moving on from a family like that to a new place. What makes blading so special is that even in an instance where we have to start fresh in a new world the skating community is always there waiting with open arms of camaraderie.
