Our plan was to make some video updates for our time here in Cali, but with our little oldschool HD style camera it's hard to get to the standards. With help from Mike Tseng, who filmed second angles with his GoPro, we found some cool spots sometimes hidden from most street skaters over here, who use absurd amont of wax by the way.
Last year Jacob Juul won the Scandinavian Real Street Competition in Copenhagen. The first prize was a plane ticket to Cali and back. My mom works for Cimber Air and I fly cheap, so on a cold December morning at around 6, on our way home from the bar, we decided to go to Cali together for 2 months. I hit up my friend Greg in Long Beach and asked him if he could hook us up with a place to buy a car, and he did. We landed in LAX the 19th of January at 12 am and Greg was in the airport with his homie Robert, waiting for us...
The World Rolling Series has introduced a new addition to their already successful competitive format. 'Uploaded', a online video format, allows competitors from around the world to upload their own edits in order to win prizes and points within WRS. It combines the concepts of mass generated edits over the recent years with people who want to compete in a different scope. There are those who express their riding best in front of crowds under the pressure of direct competition, which in the past have been the ones able to succeed in a competitive nature. Now, those who work best in front of the camera at their own pace have the opportunity to find competitive success where it did not exist before. WRS representatives Daniel Kinney and Kato Mateu got together with Be-Mag with the intention of answering some questions and cracking open all that is 'Uploaded.'
Good things take time - you all know that. We haven't been the first to throw out the Chaz Sands Invite 2011 contest edit. But we are sure that this what you can see here compensates your waiting. And the winner of the Hoedown 2010 is ...
In the past few days, people from all over the world got into town to attend the last major WRS event before the championship finals this next week-end in Rye, New Hampshire, will take place. Driving, flying or even riding shitty Greyhound bu...
Three years ago, us boys in Santee got pissed that all the good rails around here were capped, and we sucked at hand rails, so we asked our sponsors to help us build a training ground. 4X4, M1, and Remz contributed to us along with our own money to build a practice rail in Damien's yard. Since then we've been having regular legendary BBQ's and sessions like this one shown were we skate the rail and have good ole American fun. This weekend Damien, Rob, Joey and Sammy Chase and me (Nick Wood) got down like we always do all summer long. When I started seeing the "One Minute One Spot" edits I thought that our weekly BBQ's were perfect for that forum. If the Internet homo's want to bust my ball's about doing a Two minute edit they can do the math and see there is 58 seconds of skating, so suck it from Santee.
Lauri attracted our attention due to his nice performance at the Mukko Real Street X in Helsinki. If you ever come to Helsinki to rollerblade, you won't be able to avoid Lauri. What we've heard from different locals this Helsinki native seems to be destroying Helsinki's streets on a daily basis! Read on and get a full taste of Finland's upcoming shredder.
Recently a recent guest of our city ran an article entitled “San Diego Scene Report” that ruffled a few feathers around here. His article featured very few of the skaters, industry and importance that san diego has in rollerblading. I’ve lived here my whole life and have been a part of the SD blade scene for over 15 years. So when the boys over here asked me to do the real scene report, I thought that I could do a little better, and pay some tribute to perhaps the most important city in our sport.

Check out what they have been talking about. This is a great read.
Haffey who just got back from Australia headed to Quebec for the Montreal Classic.
