Mirek Ragan... don't even try to put him into any categories! Born in 1982, he is one of these old cats that grew up rollerblading from day one. Hoax 1 and 2 changed his life and if you ever have the opportunity to visit him in his sweet appartement in Katowice, Poland you'll be able to notice that he has every single DVD/VHS ever produced in the rolling industry. Behind his blue eyes you can sense that he is thinking of Rollerblading 24/7 – not only from the perspective as the owner of Hedonskate, but also as a dedicated rollerblader! Mirek is and will always try to push the sport into the right direction. To sum it up: Mirek is a very positive, funny and handsome person always looking at the bright side of life!
This sping I had the great chance to visit Poland and the production facilities of the Rat-Tail Europe Lines in Katowice. Since I had never been to Poland before, I decided to extend my trip for some days.
The summer was super busy for Hedonskate Team – we had two big tours: one through Sweden and the one through Romania. Since the whole Hedonskate Team consists of 15 people we had the possibility to send different riders to all the trips. Yet we felt it was way too long that we hadn't had a gathering of a complete team in one place so we thought about another adventure – this time a more relaxed one with no hurry and deadlines, more focused on getting photos for the upcoming 2011 Hedonskate calendar and getting the crew together.

On October 28th the traditional skate season in Europe will come to an end. Now, hold on. Don't let your eyes start welling up with tears. Katowice, Poland's going to make it all better. Just because the streets will soon start to be covered in snow doesn't mean a thing, because it aint over 'til the fatty lady sings…or, until Katowice, Poland's “End of Season” jam goes down. When we mean down, we mean blowing up. This time it's going off with a huge event including tons of music, parties, ladies (and guys as well, so don't get all cranky, girls), booze, good vibes, good times, and of course some of the most ballin' skating of the year. There will not only be a contest for rolling, but BMX and ATB as well. This epic party is not one to be missed. So, saddle up, get that calendar marked up, and make your arrangements to get moving, today!
