Filming a big blade competition like Winterclash is always a challenge and not much fun – from the videographers point of view. Don't get me wrong, Winterclash is one of the funnest events to go to. It's just not the most rewarding job to document it. So instead of trying to run around the park with a fisheye-DSLR all day to miss most of the tricks and fight for medium-to-ok positions with all the other guys, I decided to try out the Lomokino. Somewhere in this article you might find the outcome of this first attempt.
Contributors from Be-Mag come from all over the world. In fact, one of the aspects that make this media outlet so successful is the joint effort given from the rolling world covering every rideable inch of the globe. Aggressive skating, while seemingly non-existent to the pop-culture world, has grown in leaps and bounds over the past few years. The dynamic has changed in so many ways since the early 1990s that each aspect in growth of style, amplitude, technology, culture, etc. has gone through it’s own little piece of the overall revolution.
As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. So while you’re recovering from the festive celebrations, crack open another can and have a look back at this small reminder. Here are the ten most popular videos from 2011!
Eugen Enin... who is this guy? Two years ago, Eugen popped out of nowhere into the German scene all of a sudden, placed high at some of the main street competitions, showed his super-tech blading here and there in small web files and German DVDs, was rather quickly placed on USD's Flow Team and managed to impress virtually everyone who witnessed his abilities in person. His body and mind may be in the perfect condition to become one of Europe's finest street skaters. At a young age he already appears to be quite focused, mature, motivated and strong enough to take a beating and get right back up to finish the job. But enough the sweet talk, have a look at one of Germany's finest up & comers, Eugen Enin!
While the northern hemisphere is covered in snow these days and street skating mecca California is set afloat by an everlasting monsoon rain, there is this city in the eastern part of Spain that still has some proper street skating going on. We're not sure if it's the mild central European climate that motivates these guys to put out amazing content or if the stuff that they are doing heats up the city. Either way: here's the next chapter of „Enter The Powerhouse“ on Be-Mag. And this time, it has an additional video. If you have no idea what this video is about, you better not waste any more time and click on „MORE“ right away.
