Here's some shots from Thursday also featuring Martin van Drunen hitting a sweatstance on the brand new Grindhouse box.
I know Giorgio for quite a long time now. In all those times we experienced some perfect skate sessions, road trips, vacations and parties. He is a good filmer and editor and also produces his own music. Everything in the Rollerdam online rollerblading videos was done by the man himself! Lately he has been doing quite well with his music. It's really nice to see all the time and effort he put in now starts to pay off. Giorgio skates the same as the relaxed vibes from his beats – relaxed and with much ease. It's always nice to see him rollerblade. Take some time to read the interview and see that, after more than 10 years in the game, Giorgio still loves rollerblading and everything that comes with it!
»A pregnant woman far away ran after us, while screaming loud in Spanish. Because of San Juan, the whole beach was full of drunk, knocked-out and sleeping people. The screaming was just one of many sounds that morning, decorating the beautiful view. After walking through the sand for 5 hours, and being awake for more than 24 hours, there was nothing left to talk.«
Martin van Drunen, or you know him from the Rollerdam series (online videos), Conference edits or interviews on Be-mag...i think you'll agree that this guy always comes hard! The only skater I know inside out, but still he always finds a way to make me say WOW! We've skated this rail frequently but never will you see Martin do a trick on a spot he already did. It's hard to be fresh.. but its even harder to stay fresh and thats what martin is all about! My favorite rollerblader!
Some words by Martin van Drunen, Dutch rollerblader skating for The conference.
Although Martin van Drunen has a very busy life, Philip Freriks found some time to interview him about his time in Barcelona, new projects and how much rollerblading means to him. Expect to see more of this guy online and in DVD's soon.

This Martin van Drunen Profile is part of my second skate DVD called 'Aorta' which was released in 2010. I never met Martin before this project, but only knew his skating from online edits and liked it a lot. So when we kidnapped him from his Rotterdam area and took him on several tours, we really got to know the guy. Martin is awesome, a very motivated pal. We love you sleepy! Normally I would say "yeah it was a great time in Barcelona thanks for everything" but there was no 'we' since you slept all the time. -Marnix Haak
