Contributors from Be-Mag come from all over the world. In fact, one of the aspects that make this media outlet so successful is the joint effort given from the rolling world covering every rideable inch of the globe. Aggressive skating, while seemingly non-existent to the pop-culture world, has grown in leaps and bounds over the past few years. The dynamic has changed in so many ways since the early 1990s that each aspect in growth of style, amplitude, technology, culture, etc. has gone through it’s own little piece of the overall revolution.
As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. So while you’re recovering from the festive celebrations, crack open another can and have a look back at this small reminder. Here are the ten most popular videos from 2011!
'Fester' is a video starring Damien Wilson, John Bolino, Casey McFarland, Lyle Shivak, Joey Chase and me, Nick Wood. For this project we did it the old fashion way, by getting a bunch of tough ass bladers together and putting in over a year of blood, sweat and tears. This is a preview of the "Blood, Sweat and Tears" part. I appreciate the newer style and trendy skating these days, but our guys – like I said – are hard core and still put their ass on the line when shooting for a video.
Check out this edit that got released today. The course seems to be different and unique, so is the skating! Enjoy.
I don't know about the rest of the world but in the US Lyle Shivak is a very respected OG skater. He has paid his dues and contributed many of his own innovations to our sport. For some reason in his +10 years of shooting sections in some of the top videos of the decade he has never been a main stream pro. He laced the first 360° Fish ever in a video in the 2001 Daily Bread video "Under The Influence", And pioneered many more of the now termed "Spin to Win" tricks.
I have been working on this video called 'Fester' for a year or so. I have been working on this with Nick Wood, Lyle Shivak, Joey Chase, Jon Jon Bolino, Casey "CORN NUT" Mc Farland, Mathieu Ledoux and many others. It is a project that I am extremely proud of. And the first in a long time at that.

The WRS World Finals turned out to be one of the most epic events in the 2010 season. A huge line up of the world's best skaters came together after competing throughout the world all year long. As November 6th approached, it was clear that the Finals were anyone's game.
Well, Saturday October 2nd was the day of the 4th Chosen Few Street Comp this year, and it was a crazy one to say the least. I love throwing competitions in new areas and San Diego has been a legendary place to skate for so many years and I wanted to add to its reputation.
As last week Be-Mag is once again the first online source to provide an edit showing the madness at this year's Last Man Standing 2010. This is the intro for the Fester Team Video. We made it just a Trailer for the whole Video because in real life thats what intro's are. So don't go b*tching about how the tricks here are also in the sections. We had a song picked for the intro for a long time but at the last minute I heard this one and knew it was the right feel for Fester. So, if you like this trailer there is plenty more where that came from, so go out and buy the video. -Nick Wood

For this latest version of its OS4 Color Series Remz inspired charismatic Pro Nick Wood [aka The Woodster] to come up with his own thing! Renown for his positive and facetious outlook on skating the unique Woodster chose silver, or more precisely "keg silver", because for Nick it's always time to have a good time and enjoy skating for what it is: fun!
