We were in NYC for almost two weeks this summer. We had seen this spot with the grindbox that the local skaters had built and decided to check it out, and make Olav’s edit for a "One Minute One Spot" right here. That's how Norwegians explore a country on rollerblades.
Sweden dominated the Oslo Real Street Contest this year. With Joachim Wall taking 1st place followed by John Lunngren in 2nd and Gabriel Gök 3rd, placing the Swedish Rollerbladers in the top 3.
Looking up at the sky, one thought came to my mind that morning: "Perfect!" For the first time in 5 years, we were graced with pure, undisturbed sunlight on the day of the SRSC stop in Oslo. The stage was set and the juicemeters pumped for yet another insane contest.
Another lovely summer with a lot of adventures. Filmed in Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Halmstad, Malmö, Falkenberg and Helsingborg with a Canon 60D. Skating by Jaco Jull, Mihai Militaru and many more. Enjoy!
Nothing can stop the Scandinavians from lacing some real bangers. Even the worst weather condition and some pretty though handrails. In the end an unbeatable Jacob Juul took the senior comp and can now call himself the Scandinavian Real Street Contest champion 2011. Congrats.
July 16, in Oslo, Norway, the Oslo Real Street Contest took place and it all went down big. But, it’s not quite something that fits into words so you’ll have to brave the loading time and check out the video below.

Charles Dunkle takes the cover of the Sueddeutsche Magazine in Germany (print supplement which is being read by millions of people). Too bad the story isn't about skating, but about Norwegians, really random!
Zebastian Cassel and Fredrik Anderson, come up with this first promo edit for the rollTogether #14 session taking place at the ZeroOneSix skatepark you can see in this edit. This is one of the best skateparks Europe has to offer. Keep your eyes peeled for the next two promo edits. Quoting rollTogether: "Skaters from all over the place already announced their support and attendance. Plan your trip to Sweden and join the madness and the rollTogether family in Eskilstuna. One thing is for sure: The Scandinavian scene is strong, passionate and stoked to skate with the rest of Europe! See you soon"
You don't want to miss this year's RSC Oslo. It will go down on June 20th at 12:00 in the infamous Frognerpark.
Kent posted this nice edit from Bergen/Norway. There are some very sweet tricks so check it out!
