You know.. I've been around long enough to watch every generation of NYC skaters since day one. And although it doesn't happen everyday, it's always a pleasure to see a young star like James shine out of the bunch and become one of the leaders of progression in NYC.
Dominik was and will always be a welcome addition the bread basket of bladers in NYC. Whether he is in the Bronx getting evicted with Shardy by his landlord, blading uptown with Nigel, or being a dirt bag in Bed-Stuy with Josh and myself, Dominik will always be missed in NYC. Okay, enough with the crying brown nose bullshit. Dominik came through NYC like a Blitzkrieg. After his eviction from Shardy's domicile he had the pleasure of finding a pad close to Josh and I with two very strange room mates. One of which who apparently liked to bring home random foreigners to watch movies or trash the apartment with. Haha! So when I had a room available in my place I told him to get the fuck out of there. That was the beginning of our little German experience. Always wielding some sort of point and shoot camera and sunglasses, Dominik is always down to blade or hang. What a funny "super hero" to have around. Thanks for coming through to teach us the ways of the Germans (Bier), introducing us to Sophie and Lucia – sexy German ladies – and just being the one we miss. Dominik "Fucking" Wagner, the German Champion of NYC! Wahoooo!
The Escape from New York Tour is an idea I came up with after spending a month and a half in California earlier this year. As I toured up and down the coastline I met some of the most amazing and memorable people I have ever encountered. I found myself submersed in deep conversation with industry legends such as Louis Zamora, Justin Eisinger, and Lonnie Gallegos. I can’t thank these guys enough for the insight they bestowed on me because without them I would have never manifested such a project.
We come to you with another helping of photographs from this years Last Man Standing Competition, with a view on what went down during the 2nd round. Photos by Ryan Loewy
While we get all of our footage together, Ryan Loewy comes through with a hefty load of photos from the first round of the 6th Annual Last Man Standing Competition.

While Sam DeAngelis puts the final touches on his edit of the NYC Street invite, here is a photoset to hold you over.
It was extremely important to ACHOSEN-FEW.COM to put on a competition in NYC this year. This city has one of the biggest scenes around and it is constantly growing. There has been so many great competitions in NYC and Chosen Few wants to continue those footsteps. So with the help of Ray Mendez and I ROLL NY we were able to get something organized.
Robert Guerrero decided to celebrate the release of his skate in the Lower East side of NYC. We were there to grab some shots for you from the East Coast finest and from the OGs from NYC.
Has this ever happened to you? You’re driving down the road on a warm summer afternoon, street-spot scouting, and out of the blue, BAM! There is a perfect mellow down rail… with a perfect approach and perfect landing. Then as the session is just getting loose a security guard slowly walks over to the whole crew (with piercing eyes). Just as you are ready to pack up and escape the usual “sit on the curb” back ground check, the security guard mummers something…in disbelief, your mood brightens up and you take a deep breath because the guy just said “you can skate here, I just didn’t SEE you”.
Check out Demetrios George in this banger edit by Greg Kieffer. Guided by a phat hiphop track, Demetrios is killing it on the streets of New York City. Hit play and find out for yourself!
One Day NY just released a banger edit with Dominik Wagner shredding down the streets of New York. These clips are from all over the city either at a late night session after work or just random occurrences while out and about with the crew. Filmed by Michael Valenzuela, Kyle Sola, Nigel Hosang, Sean Engler, and David Toro, who also made the edit.
Chauncey Jenkins has been making huge waves in Washington Heights, NYC over a decade. 2011 has been a good year for him, winning 2nd place in his hometown's LMS competition and now this profile edit.
James Perez has been on a skating hiatus due to his recent pursuit of a college education and currently working a full time job. Luckily, I was able to meet up with James during his only day off last week for a brief session at the Pier 25 skate plaza located in Manhattan, NY. James dusted off the cobwebs from his blades and quickly got back into the skating rhythm as we managed to beat the the rain, clouds, and park closing. -Jasepi Calamari
After a lot of effort, long shootings deep into the night, and impossible planning it is finally done. Sam DeAngelis and the TSS team have filmed the perfectly executed session at the Drop In Skatepark in New York. Check out the riders how they represent the skateshop and enjoy the way they throw out some sick tricks for you.
We have already talked about 'WRS UPLOADED' here on be-mag. It's the first all-digital blading contest hosted by the World Rolling Series. All WRS Pros and qualified competitors (top 25 WRS World Ranking) are invited to submit a :60 second edit showcasing the very best of what they have to offer on blades. This will be a contest that allows everyone to compete on their own terms; no runs, no heats, no parks, no restrictions.
Malik rides flow for USD, these are a few clips put together over the summer and into the beginning of fall.
This edit is brought to you by a chill session in Queens, NY that turned into a line frenzy. Trevor Johnson, now residing in Long Island still makes time to come out and kill it. Enjoy.
Straight out of the NYC scene John Stephens gets a short-but-sweet profile that is sure to get you ready to hit the streets. The vibe and quality captured in this editing is raw and real. And, just in case you wanted to get some inspiration on how to make a high quality edit this is one to pay attention to. The production value is nothing short of spectacular. In short, this is one to watch over and over. You wont see trick after trick. This is what style is all about.
One Day NY has provided us with their latest edit. This is a compilation of old and new clips, blading with the OD NY family. Having a good laugh and fool around was, and is, always the most important thing for a good documentation. Enjoy!
On August 27th Team TRS represented by David Sizemore, Rob G, Quintin Lamb, Tom Hyser and John Stephens hit Paragon on Broadway. Be there.
