It has been really tough watching Guillaume Roy (owner of Lylac Skateshop) run around town and work his magic to make this competition happen. It makes me proud to be a part of the Montreal Classic. Year after year Danny Laroche and Guillaume Roy continue to organized this amazing event. A lot has changed with the Montreal scene since the very first Classics in 2001.
Kevin is from the same town that I grew up in. I remember the first time I saw him at the local park: right away I knew that this kid had true love for blading! He makes me think of myself when I was his age. Kevin is a amazing person. He is humble, respectful and fun to be around with. And the guy can freaking shred! He skates fast, solid and precise like a diamond. It's really inspiring to see him be so passionate and following his dream to be part of our little community. He has not yet beat me to a game of B.L.A.D.E, but I guess it's cause I don't want to play against him anymore. I would get my ass kicked. Merci Kevin pour tout!
Stephane and I have been friends for 14 years. I know him as much as I know myself. We have been through so much together, kind of like two soldiers that fought side by side, you know? Steph is an extraordinary human being, he is always there for you if you need help or something. I have seen him going through many faces in his life. He is working hard on becoming a better person and seeing that is such an inspiration for me and all the peeps around him. Skating wise...? Well, I will let the edit speak for itself. All I can say is that skating with him is a true blessing in my life. Thanks Stephane for being a brother to me. I’ll see you tonight anyway at the TAZ session!
This past weekend we reported live from the Montreal Classic 2010. Now three days later our Montreal representatives have prepared a full coverage of the action that happened during this epic weekend. You might have seen already Haffey going wild in the REMZ edit. But here we've got some more exclusive action shots and edits. So check this out here and take the next higher dosage.
There were less Pro Skaters than last year but the level was insane and the crowd didn't believe what they saw!!! The final (I mean the warrior heat): 5 guys in the skate park for 15-20 minutes + 5 minutes more, asked by the crowd. Even if Franco was close to break his arm and his back on a fall, he skated like a beast, throwing his body all over the park, doing its toe grind and strong lines. The two frenchies - as professional as usual - killed the park with their own personal style: Adrien doing switch ups and strong grinds around, Roman with so much ease, spinning hard and high. Jerry Butler showed that he deserved to be a real pro, this guy originally from Cleveland but living in Montreal for 4 years now showed everyone that he was at home. Finally, what can I say about Haffey except that he did few tricks to warm up and that he went eat to come back later to land the strongest trick ever laced in this park. Keep an eye on be-mag and wait for the video edit! - Guillaume
And here comes the next Montreal live update. Guillaume, Thomas and Jeremy working their asses off to deliver some great content. Yes, it's not only one edit, they even decided to make two edits from the BBQ session. Read on!

Haffey who just got back from Australia headed to Quebec for the Montreal Classic. Quoting Guillaume Latrompette from Montreal (the editor): "He skated that park like no one else before him, lacing tricks that has never been laced in that park! It was a pleasure to see him skating!". Check out this first Remz edit of the Montreal Classic madness. The edit not only features Chris Haffey, but also some other Remz rippers as well as an old school legend that obviously started skating again, the famous Nicky Adams! Edit by Guillaume Latrompette
