Joey Chase. An immortal sent to destroy “man’s” concrete jungles with his “Blades” of fury? Or, a mortal without the burden of pain, touched with enough talent and persistence to raise him to the highest level of “Awesomeness”? Or, is this his cocoon phase, as he patiently waits to blossom in to a seven foot tall, four armed bartender, destined to run “Murder Face Chase, The Drinking Place”? Or maybe, just maybe, Joey Chase is as simple as the stick figure man on the door of public men’s restrooms. None of these are known to be the truth and his legends are not for me to say.
As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. So while you’re recovering from the festive celebrations, crack open another can and have a look back at this small reminder. Here are the ten most popular videos from 2011!
I have been working on this video called 'Fester' for a year or so. I have been working on this with Nick Wood, Lyle Shivak, Joey Chase, Jon Jon Bolino, Casey "CORN NUT" Mc Farland, Mathieu Ledoux and many others. It is a project that I am extremely proud of. And the first in a long time at that.
Revolution just posted this very insightful 'Top 5' with CK, be sure to check it out!
Each year Nemo makes his annual trip to escape the cold East Coast winters to skate Arizona, he's been doing this for 3-4 years now. Since day one, Nemo has always carried a high standard for both his skating, and the way it's portrayed. He's a talented photographer/videographer as well, he has a strong vision for blading. This footage is a little dated, still really good none the less. -James Johnson
Damien Wilson is an individual. Damien is in his own category, never one to fit any mold, he has always stood out from the rest. His skating is influential, his creativity flows when he skates. Off the blades, he's never afraid to speak his mind, Damien will tell you how it is. I've always admired that about him, what you see is exactly what you get. -James Johnson
John Bolino is unreal, it makes you sick watching him skate. He's at the forefront of progression, showing us all what is possible on a set of blades. But, does he care to be in the limelight? No. That's what makes John stand out, he's humble, and he is loyal to the simple things in life. Having fun with his friends, and blading because he loves it. -James Johnson
Jeremy Spira has one of our favorite styles. We filmed these clips spanning from skate trips to San Francisco, NYC, and Arizona. The roll-in to fence stall in Arizona was insane, the first few rolls he was hitting the transition at the bottom so hard his buckles would come undone. Spira rips it. -James Johnson
New Revolution raw clips of Sergio and Adam, filmed by Jon Jenkins. Check emmm out!
Gergo Guba filmed the 2012 Revolution Street Contest in Szeged, Hungary. Check out the edit to feel the awesome vibe and watch the bladers lace their sickest tricks. The results are below the video. Enjoy!
Peep Oggers 'Top 5' for Revolution!
Most of you have probably never heard of Alec, but we're pumped to see new clips of him. Keep an eye out for this guy!
What was this, we don't even...? You know it's something outstanding if raw clips make it into the Be-Mag news section. Filmed by Jon Jenkins.
