As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. So while you’re recovering from the festive celebrations, crack open another can and have a look back at this small reminder. Here are the ten most popular videos from 2011!
I have been working on this video called 'Fester' for a year or so. I have been working on this with Nick Wood, Lyle Shivak, Joey Chase, Jon Jon Bolino, Casey "CORN NUT" Mc Farland, Mathieu Ledoux and many others. It is a project that I am extremely proud of. And the first in a long time at that.
Chris Farmer is one of the most influential skaters in our industry. Chris is one of our favorite people in general, he's always respectful, and always genuine. Aside from his skating, we're happy to give you a glimpse into who Farmer really is. -James Johnson
Check out which news posts and articles were viewed the most in the last week of 2011.
Demetrios George is a skater who has paid his dues to be where he's at in our sport. When you put everything on the line for blading, sooner or later you're going to get knocked down. What really matters is if you get back up to try again. Demetrios is a skater who won't ever quit. -James Johnson
Every Thursday night Revolution throws a skate session drawing the likes of anyone and everyone in the area that likes to get down and roll. This session in particular spawned a super chill edit put together by Aaron Stine and Derek Stanton which features Kenny Scherf, Andrew Scherf, James Johnson, Jeff Dobkins, Jon Jenkins, Justin Runyon, Zared Yates, and Derek Stanton. Just another great example of how great the rolling community is. We get together, hang out, and skate simply because we are all rollerbladers.
Ryan Daily is a staple in our Arizona skate scene. Check out this 'Top 5' with the Tempe resident!
Revolution Team Rider Casey McFarland is someone who is always on the move. He is constantly traveling, whether it's to film for a weekend in Cali, or spend 3 months in South America, it's non-stop. Lately, he's been working for the Chicago Cubs Baseball team, where we were able to sit down with him at his work, and film his "On The Spot."
Dominic is an icon for our sport, he has shaped blading into what it is today, and the best part is, he is still going strong. Dominic is one of our good friends, he recently moved to Arizona, and we're honored to have him be a part of our skate scene. Dominic keeps things simple in his life, he focuses on his skating, music, and family. -Revolution Skateshop
Travis Rhodes is a powerhouse. He charges, and fully commits to what he's doing. He'll surprise you with his big bag of tricks. He's not limited, he has the ability to skate literally whatever is put in front of him. Travis also never accepts anything half-ass, he expects a lot out of himself. He looks a lot older than he really is, which is a good thing. Travis is just getting started, he has everything in front of him. He has "it" and he's on his way. -Revolution Skate Shop
Beastmaster landed himself an interview on Revolution’s Top 5, check it out! Also make sure to have a look at the blog Billy and his friends are doing on the SLC scene. Tons of quality updates over there all the time!
Mathieu Ledoux is an amazing skater, a good friend, and an inspiration. He chooses to not be in the spotlight, but we really wanted to share some insight into who Mathieu Ledoux is, and what makes Mathieu Ledoux so unique on and off the blades.
