Richie Eisler grew up in Canada and relocated to Australia a few years back. While there he was featured in Dom West’s highly respected Vine St with a profile that stood out for many in the rolling community. His style is hard to describe. It is clean, elegant and technical. It is also very fast, which almost seems to contradict the exactness of his skating.
Like many people in our sport, Richie was a hockey player before he discovered inline. He tells us that the transition felt like a natural extension to this. In his first competition he came 6th in the expert round and then 1st the following year.
His first sponsor was Salomon which he had been recommended to him and his most influential skater is cited as the ice hockey player Jaromir Jagr.
Probably the first thing to come up when people talk about Richie is his laid back and contagiously happy appearance. One blogger who interviewed him stated: “I also hope people realize that Richie’s attitude and personality are exactly what the rolling industry needs to thrive.” While he has stated that he enjoys travelling for competitions he has also said that he doesn’t always like to compete; something which is clear when you try and imagine how crowds would unfairly box in his high-tempo style.
Currently Richie lives in Spain. In his own words: “my favourite moment is now.”
Born: Regina (Canada)
Residence: Barcelona (Spain)

One day I was talking to my friend Kevin in BCN when I was there chilling at the Powerhouse (the biggest thanks Richie E. for letting me stay haha) and when we were talking he asked me if I would like to film an ''Up and Comers'' section for Be-Mag. I didn’t believe it in the beginning, but when I wrapped my head around the concept I was trying to blade as much as I could to get the best clips for the video! As always there were high and lows, tricks, bails and injuries so in the end I didn’t get as many clips as I wanted. I didn’t get to do the last planned hammer for the edit because of the contusion I caught along the way. My head is still woozy so I'm sorry if the edit isn't good enough for you, but know this – it would have been better if my head was made of metal and I don’t care what you think!
The first ever Shred Cologne went down last weekend and it became clear for everyone in attendance that this was just the beginning. Be-Mag videographer Peter Bender was on site to bring you the official Be-Mag edit for Shred Cologne 2012! Enjoy!
The days are getting shorter and colder now almost all around the world, so we decided to release another Be-Mag fashion just in time for the weather change which also includes nice and cozy sweaters. Once again these garments have been specifically cut and sewn for us and feature some of our favourite graphics from the past with a new twist. For the lookbook we asked Dominik Wagner to shoot the pictures for us together with pro skater Richie Eisler.
