As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. So while you’re recovering from the festive celebrations, crack open another can and have a look back at this small reminder. Here are the ten most popular videos from 2011!
Quite honestly The Chosen Few Santee Street Comp was great. Nick Wood and Damien Wilson made sure the BBQ was running at every spot with hot dogs and cheese burgers on deck. Over $200 of BBQ was sold and that money went to best trick at all the spots. The BBQ was something that added a little extra vibe to the competition. Great skating, great food, great people, Santee style. So thank you for lugging that thing around all day. We ended up with close to 200 people and 40 competitors. The first spot was the famous Chicano Park line ledges.
I have been working on this video called 'Fester' for a year or so. I have been working on this with Nick Wood, Lyle Shivak, Joey Chase, Jon Jon Bolino, Casey "CORN NUT" Mc Farland, Mathieu Ledoux and many others. It is a project that I am extremely proud of. And the first in a long time at that.
Three years ago, us boys in Santee got pissed that all the good rails around here were capped, and we sucked at hand rails, so we asked our sponsors to help us build a training ground. 4X4, M1, and Remz contributed to us along with our own money to build a practice rail in Damien's yard. Since then we've been having regular legendary BBQ's and sessions like this one shown were we skate the rail and have good ole American fun. This weekend Damien, Rob, Joey and Sammy Chase and me (Nick Wood) got down like we always do all summer long. When I started seeing the "One Minute One Spot" edits I thought that our weekly BBQ's were perfect for that forum. If the Internet homo's want to bust my ball's about doing a Two minute edit they can do the math and see there is 58 seconds of skating, so suck it from Santee.
As you may have read in the Be-Mag print article already, for me, being on tour is not all about skating only. With my pictures I tried to capture moments apart from all that rollerblading stuff - hanging around, driving all day long and seeing weird stuff on the road.
Filth is the best rollerblading DVD I have seen in a very, very, very long time. The Santee crew is a bunch of guys who know how to have a good time. People have been making rollerblading look way to serious. Due to this...
Of course I’m riding the frankie remz with 4X4 wheels and ground control frames because I get those for free too but I can say that the frankie skate is the best remz I ever rode the last model licked balls. buy remz!
Check out which news posts and articles were viewed the most in the last week of 2011.
Check out this edit of the ACHOSEN-FEW.COM SANTEE Streetcomp. Hammers were thrown and, as usual for street comps, the skaters pushed themselves to a level of recklessness you dont come by in normal sessions! Enjoy...
Check out this little teaser for the upcoming Santee Comp by the Woodster and Damien Wilson! Seems like those guys are well equipped with everything you need to make this event a date to remember. Plus it looks like the two are planning on producing some kind of online safety announcement service on how to use power tools responsibly! We love you guys! Check out the edit and visit the A Chosen Few Santee Competition! Boom!
Book your tickets now for one insane competition put on by the Santee boys themselves on May 21st. More info to come.
New spot steve (aka Steve Steinmetz) and Quinn Feldman are looking for the spots to hit during the achosen few street competition in San Diego. Watch out for a story about the comp coming up in a few days here on be-mag.

Nick Wood at his best! .... well actually he it seems he's become quite shy lately. Anyway, the skating is topnotch, check it.
