Daniel Fabiano has become a household name in the rollerblading industry through years of dedication. From East to West, Daniel "Fabs" has gained his reputation not only as an Amatuer blader but also a young entrepreneur, owning his first clothing company at the age of fifteen. As the owner of Con.Artist Brand and the infamous Scribe Industries, Fabiano has earned a royal seat in rollerblading as one of the sports most dedicated brand owners! Enjoy the second installment of Scribefile as Fabs shreds through the East Coast since his move from Minnesota over a year ago.
The New York City scene has recently lost an asset but at the same time the San Diego gained one. Born and raised in Belleville, NJ, Tim Franken has been blading for about eleven years. As a young athlete looking for new opportunities, Franken saw the chance to move out to California with his brother in order to pursue his real passion in life: Rollerblading.
Over the past couple of years, the Tri-State Area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) has lost too many indoor skate parks to count. From Hackettstown in New Jersey to the infamous Academy Skate Park in Connecticut; we have lost too many indoor parks due to lack of funding and support. We have endorsed endless hours of blading and hard earned cash to spend late Sunday nights lacing tricks in local parks. Kids grow up in these facilities and inevitably they have to watch the place they were raised in get torn down to the ground. One of our last surviving indoor Skate Parks in the Tri-State Area is Shield's Skate Park in Flemington, NJ. Run by Mr. Shields himself, the park has gained a large community of rollerbladers from all over the Tri-State Area. Bladers assemble every Thursday night for a balls-to-the-wall session of stunts and filming/photography sessions. The park certainly favors rollerblading with a huge half pipe, tons of round coping, and creative transitions. Amazing skaters such as Franco Cammayo, Erick Rodriguez and Dave Lang (and so many more) have thrown down some of the most unbelievable lines I have ever seen.
Founded in 1992, Scribe was a big player in the glory days of blading with a larger number of product available for the skaters needs. Scribe Industries is now growing into its 3rd year from the rebirth of the business since 1998. It took 2.5 years to solidify a full Pro team, and select Ams that work hard, have great determination, and are valuable assets to both the team and our industry. In this article we try to shed light on what’s going on at the company right now, what product they currently offer, which riders they support and what they’re up to for 2011.
Scribe Industries proudly introduces a new Am rider to the family, Mr. Kevin Lapierre! Scribe is blessed to have such a talented individual both on and off the blades. With the growing popularity underneath his name, and massive support from his peers and friends all over Canada, Kevin makes a great addition to the new Scribe Industries. Enjoy this edit, as Kevin shows ease and creativity on most every obstacle he takes on. -Daniel Fabiano
Immediately coming back from duty, Eric pushed out a section within a few weeks. The kid never stops! He is like a clapping monkey that is all wound up. Mr. Miller has more energy and motivation then most of the known shredders. He also finds and makes the best spots. -Daniel Fabiano
It has been awhile, but Mr. Ulrichsen is still beating up the blades with some creative and fresh rollerblading maneuvers. Stuck up there in Wisconsin, Josh doesn't get the exposure he should, so we try to help when we can. Enjoy some good skating by a rad dude. -Daniel Fabiano
The guys at Scribe have just released some stones antis. The official press release shows them equipped with Scribe Ceramics. Not sure what we should think of such decadent behavior, but you sure can't go wrong with proper urethane antis. Even if you put in bearings that barely spin. Faster is always better though and if you got the money to spare...? Anyways, check Scribes new 40mm/102A Stones out below!
You are probably thinking the same thing as me, "already?" Yup, Kyle is a killer and already dropped his second Scribe support edit within a few months of each other. When you got a friend like Hawke Trackler on your side, your media exposure can only progress. Props to each of the gents on this lil online feature. -Hawke Trackler
If you have not heard of Eric or seen one of his handful of edits, it is time to open your eyes! Mr. Miller is easily one of the hardest working rollerbladers in the industry. Apart from serving for his country throughout the year, you will find Eric roaming the streets of the East Coast finding the most incredible spots, building or repairing legendary maneuvers or creating new obstacles for others to enjoy. Eric is a massive supporter of the industry and it is time someone acknowledged his dedication and hard work. -Dan Fabiano of Scribe Industries
Check out Scribes line of wheels for Winter 2012! They've just released pro wheels for their riders Casey Bagozzi, Paul John and Jon Robinson.
Ryan is a recent addition to the support team with Scribe Industries. A truly talented individual, which he proves in the next edit, to look out for in the near future. Keep your eye out for him in upcoming competitions, but first check him out as he is tearing up this sweet skatepark. Enjoy!
Kyle Wood, Scribe Industries newest addition to their support team. In this edit, Kyle shows everyone what he is capable of achieving on the blades in one month span of time. Enjoy!
In this edit by Hawke Trackler, Kyle Wood did two sessions at the Skate Naked Skatepark and killed it. Enjoy.
