For this years Grindhouse trip I had something different in mind as what we did in the past years. I didn’t want to tour through Europe, but spend a few days in the mecca of our sport and have a good time there without having the stress of driving the car from one city to another.

Marc has proven himself as an important pillar of the European skating scene over the last years receiving video profiles, print and online coverage in all big media sources. The World Rolling Series has introduced a new addition to their already successful competitive format. 'Uploaded', a online video format, allows competitors from around the world to upload their own edits in order to win prizes and points within WRS. It combines the concepts of mass generated edits over the recent years with people who want to compete in a different scope. There are those who express their riding best in front of crowds under the pressure of direct competition, which in the past have been the ones able to succeed in a competitive nature. Now, those who work best in front of the camera at their own pace have the opportunity to find competitive success where it did not exist before. WRS representatives Daniel Kinney and Kato Mateu got together with Be-Mag with the intention of answering some questions and cracking open all that is 'Uploaded.'
There are two park contests in the Australian rolling scene that have been happening every year for a long time, "The Aussie's" and "The Vics", The Australian Titles being the higher-profile national event that tends to showcase the finest in the country, and the Victorian Titles that hosts the best skating the state of Victoria has to offer, plus whoever else from around the country turns up, and this year was quite an interstate turnout. This tends to be the case these days when it comes to events put on by RollVic, a group of skaters who basically want to see events like these as an opportunity for the sport to grow, for skaters to come together, and for amazing skating to take place. This year's Vic Titles fulfilled exactly those goals, with four of the top five in the Open finals coming other capitol cities.
Enanoh, was the name given to Mr Marc Moreno, somewhere around the late 90's back when Marc was the youngest and by far the smallest little lad in amongst a pack of evolving rolling spanish giants. Enanoh, translated from Spanish to English = dwarf. Time, brings great changes, today Marc is the tallest amongst his allies, he is not just an icon to the younger generation but is looked upon as an inspiration amongst many of the Giants who once help to raise a dwarf.
Ben is a veteran in our sport, has pulled some of the burliest stunts, been around the block more times than even he can remember, and now in his wiser days he is putting enlightenment before excitement when taking a look at all that skating and life around him has become. With the relaunch of Chimera and a fresh start in Berlin he has stepped into a life of inspiration.
During Montre's stay in the Netherlands we were so busy skating, that not all of the street clips from Amsterdam could be put in the small live update edit. I finally had the time to make a proper edit with the tricks that weren't used yet!
As I got to know Gabriel Hyden we were like 13 or 14 years old. We got in touch through a msgboard where he was more than just an active user. Back then everyone knew him as 'Gape' and lots of people made fun of him when he started his own clothing company back then. The first time we met up was shortly after that when we went on a two week skating vacation in Austria. There it happened, he fully got me.

The Bladermods Crüe, which consists of Zebastian Cassel, Stephanie Midhammar, Julius Norrbom, Robin Bennett, and Christofer Kohn, went to the Hangaren Hot Sport Centre in Linköping, Sweden. At this sweet skatepark the guys (and girls) go all out, lacing sick tricks and bailing like bosses, but most importantly, having a blast with friends. On December 17th 2011, the WRS 2011 Bbq and Bowl Bash will be held at the Robb Field Skatepark in San Diego, CA. Bring your blades, something to grill, and come session to celebrate the year in blading. Free skating, food and friends, join the fun and come hang out. Plenty of space outside the park for kid's, dog's etc. Come one, come all.
Next weekend from Friday 9th March until Sunday 11th March the annual Ponycup in Nykøbing, Denmark is going down. Be sure to participate or, if you dont't feel like it, watch some of the worlds best pro's lacing their tricks in the Kulturfabrikken Skatepark.
