Adrien Anne is an inveterate Winterclash enthusiast. See below what he has to say about the upcoming event as well as his past experiences!
One of Europe's longest running contests, the infamous X-Mas Jam, is taking place in Hamburg Germany next weekend. We talked to organizer Jonn Rübcke to see what we can expect from this years event and also how he plans to take the whole thing even further this year. Two days, competitors from all over Europe and 3000 € in prize money. This is going to be big!
Whether it’s out for a bite to eat in Milan, catching some sun in San Diego, or living a partier’s dream in Barcelona, Adrien’s getting spotted in more places than Where’s Waldo. Recently, we had a chance to catch up with him and discuss what it has been like living out of a suitcase for such a long time and being dubbed 'The Traveler'.
The Gladiator contest was born in the mind of Cédric Duchemin, and along with his partner in crime Stéphane Luchie, they brought this project to life and made it one of the best park contests of the year, eventually earning itself 3 stars on the WRS rankings. Both really good skaters and great people, those we call “Duch & Stouf” put a lot of work and energy on the line to make this event happen. Originally meant to be a trilogy, the great atmosphere and positive response from the scene kept it going until this year, for its sixth edition. Whether or not there will be another one in the future is still uncertain, but we can only hope the crew finds a way to bring us another incredible event next year!
Did you ever think that one of the best memories from a visit to the Powerhouse would include an epic police chase down one-way streets by three motorcycles/scooters, getting stopped, searched and your skates taken away? Adrien Anne, Diego Guilloud and Josh Glowicki were given a rude awakening by Barcelona’s boys in blue. Adrien gives us his take on the adventure.
I was bored in my area so I decided with Dany Molinari and Roman Abrate to go somewhere else and skate some different stuff. We came up with the idea to get to Italy, eat some good food, enjoy the good weather and skate some different spots that haven't been skated before.
Adrien Anne is currently working on his new DVD, the sequel to Sans Pretention, featuring profiles on himself, Julien Cudot, Diego Guilloud and Roman Abrate among others. What better way to get a great headstart on the project than coming to one of Europe's most famous street skating capitals, Barcelona!
After months of waiting the Powerhouse Home Movies have been released by The Conference. Enjoy a free full length video to end, and officially close the doors to the Powerhouse Studios project. This film is a vintage behind the scenes look at what was happening throughout the filming of the edits you watched coming out of Barcelona all last year. Be sure to go replay your favorite Eisler HD edits from the PHS, and if you want to see the Xsjado crews best tricks keep an eye open for the anticipated Xsjado video later this year.
2011 and the Powerhouse are now just memories in our mind. The Conference and the Powerhouse studios remind us how awesome it was. Here's the fourth and final video installment of the Barcelona Sessions. Shot and cut by Mr. Richie Eisler with music from M83 and Wye Oak.
Everybody knows Adrien Anne is one of the world's most technical skaters. Did you know that he can do pretty much all of it switch, too?
Zemmour Amir just uploaded this quick little edit of Adrien flowing through a weirdly shaped mini ramp at Zumiez Skatepark in Belgium. Anne proves yet again that he's got tons of control. Some of this stuff is ridiculous. And chances are he's just warming up...
When Adrien is not on the road stacking up clips, he is on his computer editing his clips. Here, he has a leftover edit to ease the waiting before he drops a real new bomb.
Julien Cudot breaking in his new Carbons 2's at the Bercy skate park in Paris. Filmed and edited by Adrien Anne.
One day with Adrien Anne and his new USD Imperial skates. Edit was shot in Adrien's hometown of Frejus in the south of France.
This is a one foot edit of Adrien Anne filmed by Antony Pottier, Julien Cudot, Mihai Bivol and Tony Martins. Unreal!
