The Gladiator contest was born in the mind of Cédric Duchemin, and along with his partner in crime Stéphane Luchie, they brought this project to life and made it one of the best park contests of the year, eventually earning itself 3 stars on the WRS rankings. Both really good skaters and great people, those we call “Duch & Stouf” put a lot of work and energy on the line to make this event happen. Originally meant to be a trilogy, the great atmosphere and positive response from the scene kept it going until this year, for its sixth edition. Whether or not there will be another one in the future is still uncertain, but we can only hope the crew finds a way to bring us another incredible event next year!
Albert Hooi has been on USD since time began. Something about his silent assassin style makes him one of the most exclusive characters in rollerblading, and someone we are proud to have on the team. Albert’s technical skating is nothing short of mind-blowing, and watching him skate, effortlessly gliding over all obstacles almost, puts you in a state of trance.
Hi my name is Chris Hack, I'm from Bayreuth/Germany, skating for 12 years now, and I'm a USD flow rider. Besides work I skate as much as possible. Getting footage for a mini section in NeverEnding2, shooting pictures and also having chilled sessions with all my friends and the locals.
I guess I have to chose my words wisely, as I was just a flow rider back then, but I know an accurate account of the story. Basically to run a skate company you need a full time day to day feedback relationship with production and design.
