When us skaters talk about doing it right or being professional Zach Nelson and Matt Farnworth are people that come up quick under that definition. They are the owners of We Are One skate park. A skate park completely built by them personally for rollerbladers. This indoor park was professionally done. Nice wood, good coping, everything slides for a change even before you wax it, It's like skating woodward. So ACHOSEN-FEW.COM decided to team up with them to do a nice crazy competition the first week they officially opened the park. We decided to make the format a street format considering it is a part of the Chosen Few street comp series.
Cameron Card is a rollerblader who has a constantly evolving perspective on skating. For Cameron skating is about being fun. It allows him to travel, make friends and capture all the great moments life has to offer. In my own experience, many of the small sessions I have had with Cameron have been most memorable because of how he is able to inspire new life into any obstacle for the sake of a good time. This positive perspective towards skating makes it impossible not to envy the relationship Cameron has with skating. Cameron's confidence, smoothness and general ability to see potential in all obstacles make the experience of watching his skating in any situation surreal.
I ran into Tad for the first time at a local skatepark I used to skate by myself while I was going to college. I had skated that park for months without ever seeing another rollerblader. It took me by surprise when I showed up and there were bladers there that killed it, yet I had never met them before.
Kaycee is one of those bladers that has been involved since basically the beginning and will continue to be involved in rollerblading. How he looks at rollerblading, contributes to it, gets excited about it and loves it, is sure to keep him rolling for many years to come.
Be-mag: Hey Tory, what have you been doing lately? Tory: Workin my ass off friend. All the new Heat stuff is in so now I am just shipping like crazy trying to clear inventory and get it out to the masses. Also working on T Graphics for the Holiday Line, and tryin to film as much as I can for this that and the other. Also working on a new Heat Site, I think it's just images so far, no updates, so I need to get a different format so I can start doing what Jon does with the Valo site.
Kicking off 2012 for your viewing pleasure! We Are One Skatepark and Shop, located in Salt Lake City, UT, just released their team rider edit. Something you don't want to miss!
Before moving east for college, Cameron Card takes one last look back at his experience within the Utah skate scene. From his camera to your eyes you get your own peek into the salty state’s brotherhood of bladers. This is something we can all relate to as the close knit brotherhood within Utah is what we all feel and connect to within our own scene. It is hard moving on from a family like that to a new place. What makes blading so special is that even in an instance where we have to start fresh in a new world the skating community is always there waiting with open arms of camaraderie.
Here is another edit featuring a session with Cameron Card, Nicholas Swan, Jeff Stanger, Zach Nelson, Tad Tregeagle & John Dickerson at the blader-owned 'We are one Skatepark'.
As you might have noticed, Utah has a new skatepark entitled "We Are One-skatepark". Chris Olpin is one of its ambassadors. He also gives lessons at the skatepark. Actually, we don't know anything about his teaching skills, but what we do know is that he is a badass shredder.
Check out the 2011 Chris Olpin We are one team rider section. Chris will be giving skate lessons at the We are one skatepark in Utah on saturdays! Enjoy his section...
TJ is Utahs next generation of rollerblading. This kid is steadfast and has a style in his skating that you can't help but notice. Confident and clean in all aspects. I love how rad he makes our sport look. If you catch him anywhere on his blades his talent automatically steals your attention and what's even greater is how much fun you can tell he's having. Kid loves rollerblading and our sport is lucky to have him. -Tory Treseder
Our good friend Erik Bill just made the switch to Valo. Looks like that was a good decision, this edit rules!
