Elliot Stevens seems as enthusiastic about Winterclash as we at Be-Mag. There's only one thing that gets us just as hyped up as having Winterclash in sight and that's sightings of Elliot skating. As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. The first thing you have to know about Nicola is that in Italy he is known as "Nico er fico" which means "Nico the cool". This Johnny Bravo look-alike street machine is killing it since day one. The first time I talked to him was a street contest in Milan ten years ago that ended with Nico doing a 360 soul on an elbow high hand rail that resulted in him winning the contest and somebody else quitting blading. Ten years later Nico just got married and is a proud father of the two-year-old cute girl Giorgia. But if you think this makes him slow down his blading, I also need to let you know that he also just became Italian Champion of 2011. It is a great pleasure for me to introduce my friend Nicola Fiorenza and his "fuck-off attitude". Enjoy the edit!
Couple weeks ago there was the first Fiorenza's Blading Jam at Nico's home in Jesi, a wonderful and vernacular village on the adriatic coast of Italy.
Preparing for months for one of the biggest competitions in Florida, Bladesgiving has turned out to be one of the funnest and biggest rollerblading events in the Southern United States along with the Pow-wow. And we are only in our second year! Skaters gathered from all over the country for a chance to rank up the WRS points and take home some cash and the huge trophy. Tim Franken, out of San Diego, Razors rider Wake Schepman, out of PA, Pro SSM rider Joey Chase and Razors flow Sammy Chase, out of Orlando, just to name a few. Also, coming all the way from Canada was our good friend Kevin Lapierre, who hurt his ankle warming up, and had to drop out of the contest. He made that huge trip, and our sympathies are with him, and we hope he recovers very soon.

Having a print publication to show off the sport to outsiders is as important to Blading as a page on the internet where everyone can get their daily dose of Rolling. Many people are contributing to Be-Mag each month to keep the project alive and make it the longest running source for Blading content in print and on the net. With the core team of Be-Mag doing it for the love – and all contributors also working for free – there are still costs that occur. Paying for the servers, programming cost, countless other things that result in a huge sum each month. Needless to say it costs a small fortune to print a large number of magazines and distribute it all over the globe.

This is a short trailer proposal for what could be an action sports television show about rollerbladers and the culture surrounding their sport. It was originally produced for a studio in Texas that planned on selling the show, but since they don't know exactly what to do with it here it is for you. Rolling With the World follows Brian Freeman around the world to meet peoples of all cultures through the ties and bonds of rollerblading.

Trouble is a project from a couple of friends who are doing amazing things in their respective industry but, will remain bladers for life. Joel Buenavista, a freelance filmer in the States, is the eye behind the camera. Chuck Cauton is a freelance tattoo artist who is currently working with Robert Lievanos, and being put onto the Jug shoes roster. Matt Florentino is the final rider who is a part of this edited project. Check out the teaser for your first images of this movie and you will see this is going to be sick.

On November 25th, there will be a Street Jam in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event will move through three street locations and eventually wind up at a skatepark for the final section. If you are from the UAE you may want to join the gathering.
On December 17th 2011, the WRS 2011 Bbq and Bowl Bash will be held at the Robb Field Skatepark in San Diego, CA. Bring your blades, something to grill, and come session to celebrate the year in blading. Free skating, food and friends, join the fun and come hang out. Plenty of space outside the park for kid's, dog's etc. Come one, come all.
