Boston’s skate scene is awesome because we have a good mixture of skaters from all generations. We have a variety of skaters of all ages. Many of the OG’s who took a break are getting back into it and the shop exposes many new faces to the sport.
The first day of part two of the 2012 'Escape from New York Tour 2012' to Boston, MA went off without a hitch. The media team consisting of Ryan Loewy, Dan Fabiano, and myself were already ahead and working to document the trip.

As 2011 draws to close, we can look back fondly on a year full of incredible edits. Hammers have been laid and creative lines have been laced. So while you’re recovering from the festive celebrations, crack open another can and have a look back at this small reminder. Here are the ten most popular videos from 2011!
Preparing for months for one of the biggest competitions in Florida, Bladesgiving has turned out to be one of the funnest and biggest rollerblading events in the Southern United States along with the Pow-wow. And we are only in our second year! Skaters gathered from all over the country for a chance to rank up the WRS points and take home some cash and the huge trophy. Tim Franken, out of San Diego, Razors rider Wake Schepman, out of PA, Pro SSM rider Joey Chase and Razors flow Sammy Chase, out of Orlando, just to name a few. Also, coming all the way from Canada was our good friend Kevin Lapierre, who hurt his ankle warming up, and had to drop out of the contest. He made that huge trip, and our sympathies are with him, and we hope he recovers very soon.
Wake Schepman isn't the future of skating he is the now. I've seen him mature over the last 3 years into one of the best up and coming bladers in our industry. Not only does his skills go beyond most skaters years older, he has the marketability and personality of a true professional. This will be obvious very soon to the masses if it isn't already.
On May 7th, a few good friends and I headed down to the Neglected Truth Skate Shop 7th Annual Birthday Box Jam. The jam was held in an empty parking lot down the street on just about the grittiest piece of black top you could ask for. The lot is sloped downhill and provides for a perfect street course; minus the hike back up every 3 minutes. This year the jam had more obstacles than ever and lived up to its expectations. The NT Birthday Box Jam seems to improve each year and maintains support from some of the gnarliest of bladers.
The NYC scene has been blowing up over the last year or two - again becoming what it was years ago: one of the global meccas of rollerblading that defines a culture. One of the companies playing a part in this transformation is the online magazine Art of Rolling (AOR). We hope you enjoy this interview with Angelo Ferrer, the man behind AOR!
Think rollerblading has no future? Guess again. It's refreshing to know that guys like Wake are out there killing it competing against pros twice their age. It's time Wake had some of the spotlight and we at Be-Mag are happy to bring you the Wake Schepman Interview!
Check out which news posts and articles were viewed the most in the last week of 2011.
Jesse P. talks to the crowd and winners at Bladesgiving 2011. With Scotty Swemba behind the camera and Jesse P as the host, they ask the bladers about their experience at the Bladesgiving competition and about some random stuff. Pretty funny, so check it out!
In this skatepark edit by Brent Scherer you can see what Franco Cammayo, Wake Shepman, and their friends did in only three sessions. The Schields Skatepark in Flemington, New Jersey, offers them a great winter location to go all out. Enjoy!

Last weekend at woodward during the intuition 500$ best trick I tried a disaster 540 true soul on the box you see in this edit. I missed and hurt my shoulder, I was forced to leave my car there and catch a ride back with some friends. I went back ...
