Be-Mag has teamed up with X-mini to bring you this utterly exciting prize raffle. Yeah, sounds funny, but when's the last time you got the chance to get something so cool for just a few clicks? Recently, we had a chance to sit down with Brian Aragon in Encinitas, CA and discuss his involvement with rollerblading in the X-Games this year. He has been working diligently with X-mini towards the goal of bringing skating back into an X-Games spotlight and gaining what many feel is some long overdue publicity. X-mini, a company who has sponsored events like the Chaz Sands Invitational, FISE and Winterclash, approached Brian in Shanghai at Asian X-Games to discuss the possibility of getting him and a team involved to some capacity with X-Games 17. Without hesitation this idea quickly got rolling into what could be the next big break for rollerblading.

Family Matters started of as a video project with a crew of gypsy skaters from Montreal. The video was filmed with a VX2000 Between the months of April and July 2010 and edited in a day or two. Montreal is a multicultural city with all kinds of people, the skaters here all come from different backgrounds working different careers; French baker, architect, stuntman and plain Gypsies. Skating is the one passion that managed to gather all these individuals together and with it grew friendships behond skating. After sessions are always good times, the night life is really exciting and you can always find a group of the skating scene out partying and most times all the original Family Matters crew out together enjoying this amazing city.

X-mini Ambassadors Worapoj Boonnim from Thailand, Soichiro Kanashima from Japan and Franky Zhang from China headed to Singapore to compete in the AIL event at the Mettle Games held on 3rd and 4th December at the Xtreme Skate Park.
Yesterday, before the rain washed away the finale and caused a delay, three divisions came and conquered the 2011 LocoSkates.com Beach Jam. In the end, with a move in location, the contest was finished and all who came had the chance to showcase their talents. It truly was a battle making for an epic day of skating.
Crash test at the Winterclash? Five people standing around a bowl, drinking a cup of beer, who finishes first, drops in first… Five people inside a bowl at the same time and the winner is the “Last Man Standing”. This game got invented by the guys behind the IMYTA+ and the rest of the Amsterdam locals in 2006 and we are proud continuing with it in 2011. The “X-mini Last Man Standing” will definitely be one of the highlights at this year’s Winterclash and for sure an unforgettable side event for everybody.
On May 8, Baysixty6 skatepark in London will host the Capital Clash. The event is being organised by The Conference’s Blake Bird and Roll Cam, and it the first rollerblading event to take place in London in quite a while.
After a year of filming the Gypsy Crew from Montreal (Canada) has finally finished Family Matters 2. The video will be premiered on December 16th in Montreal. More premieres in Australia, Germany, France, UK etc. will follow in January 2012. Stay tuned and keep your eyes peeled for a first teaser of this video release.
