It's a real pleasure for me to introduce the "One Minute One Spot" for my friend Nicolas Schopfer! I've known Nic for more than a decade now. I remember him skating back in the days when he was a 1,20 m tall kid skating in his blue Salomons and with his huge helmet – hence his nickname "Mushroom". From then on he never stopped skating, kept improving, always striving for perfection. He's now the great and stylish skater we all know! Thankfully Nic is always motivated for a little session. I'd say even more so now that he started editing etc. He's the one who brought me back into skating when we went to Malta after a few years break and I'm really grateful to him for everything!
Sometimes the best ideas are the ones that hit you spontaneously: In just 3 weeks Jon Julio and crew set up their game plan for 'The Blading Cup' which will take place at the beginning of August in Santa Ana, USA. Ryan Loewy hit up Jon to give you a quick overview of what to expect. The line-up for the comp already reads impressive and the guys managed to plant this event right into the busy festivities that will go down the same weekend in downtown Santa Ana.
I just got home from a month long trip to Barcelona/China filming for the upcoming Xsjado video. I was not even home for a week then JC asked me if I wanted to go to Columbia. I didn't really want to go at first but after a couple days of thinking it over I decided to go. Here are some of my most recent photos that I took. Don (Bambrick) and I were sent out there to judge a contest and hang with the kids. So here is a look at what Columbia has to offer!
Aarin Gates loves to blade and smile. It's infectious. She'll make the whole crew smile without saying a word. She has great energy, and continues to stomp out every trick with passion and style. I've been blading for 18+ years and can honestly say that I have never seen a female with the strength and style that Aarin possesses. The Bladermods Crüe, which consists of Zebastian Cassel, Stephanie Midhammar, Julius Norrbom, Robin Bennett, and Christofer Kohn, went to the Hangaren Hot Sport Centre in Linköping, Sweden. At this sweet skatepark the guys (and girls) go all out, lacing sick tricks and bailing like bosses, but most importantly, having a blast with friends. Filmed in February and March this year and edited by Zebastian Cassel, this video gives you a great impression of how the guys of the Bladermods Crüe live their life with passion for blading. Enjoy!

After months of waiting the Powerhouse Home Movies have been released by The Conference. Enjoy a free full length video to end, and officially close the doors to the Powerhouse Studios project. This film is a vintage behind the scenes look at what was happening throughout the filming of the edits you watched coming out of Barcelona all last year. So make sure you get out to San Diego on the 21st for what is going to be a very memorable event.
