After finishing second last year Nils Jansons stepped it up another notch at the 2013 Winterclash. The 20 year old Latvian amazed everyone in Eindhoven with some serious hammers including a jawdropping 540 alley-oop top soul. We checked in with the brand new champ for a quick interview.

Amsterdam Week: Photographer Profile – Bojd Vredevoogd

Without Bojd Vredevoogd the Amsterdam Week wouldn't have been possible. Whether it was in the middle of the night or early in the morning Bojd didn't hesitate one second to shoot pictures and contribute all his freetime for the Be-Mag Amsterdam Week 2012. Bojd is the man you can count on when you need a badass shot. Although it's pretty difficult to get a shot of the Red Light District the 26-year old Amsterdam local isn't the one to disappoint or give up. He will find a solution to get things done. Always down to motivate others to give their best and catching the right angles with his analogue camera. Marnix Haak had the chance to talk to him and to ask him about his motives and perceptions on rolling, photographing, girls, party, clothes etc.? Let's go beyond the surface, and investigate what's going on inside his mind. Interview. Start. Now.

Amsterdam Week: An Interview With Gijs Piss AKA The Inventor of the Real Street Contest

Gijs 'Piss' Peetsold has been an influential blader since the 90s. Sure he can shred, and inspire through blading, but his real strength lies in all the things that make blading badass off the skates. Media, events, brands, developing talented young bladers, he's had his fingers in all those pies. At his ripe age you'd expect him to take it easy, and let skating take the backseat. But no. He and his colleague (Amnon Klein) recently created an epic grindbox across the street from his work, and by doing so got half of the washed up generation of Amsterdam's bladers back on four/eight wheels. All in a day's work for this bald cat owning, single-malt sipping, cigar smoking, poker playing rollerblader. This dude is invaluable, not just for the world of Blading, but especially for those who's life he enriches with kindness, generosity and the ability to criticize everything to an early death. My man Piss.

Up and Comers: Jo Zenk

The usual introductions start with the moment when you first met the guy to be interviewed. In this specific case I have to say, that I am not quite sure where I met Johannes the first time, but I am sure about the fact that as soon as I got to know him a little I hated him instantly. Never would I ever hang out with that guy. Life can teach you tough lessons and the one that I was taught when it comes to Johannes Zenk is, that you should never judge someone on first sight.

Joey Chase About His Roots, Sponsors, Fester and Crazy Travels

Joey Chase. An immortal sent to destroy “man’s” concrete jungles with his “Blades” of fury? Or, a mortal without the burden of pain, touched with enough talent and persistence to raise him to the highest level of “Awesomeness”? Or, is this his cocoon phase, as he patiently waits to blossom in to a seven foot tall, four armed bartender, destined to run “Murder Face Chase, The Drinking Place”? Or maybe, just maybe, Joey Chase is as simple as the stick figure man on the door of public men’s restrooms. None of these are known to be the truth and his legends are not for me to say.

Be-Mag checked in with Jojo Jacobi and Dirk Oelmann who are bringing back a Realstreet Event to Germany's capital. The timing seems right. Europe's best bladers will make it to Berlin to battle it out for the crown. And as you might expect Jojo brings in a few high-level people from the States!

Ben Harmanus: About Chimera, Adapt and More Projects

If you've never met Ben Harmanus before, from the outset he can seem a little bit scary. For those who do know him, they realize this is simply a front for one of the most caring and passionate skaters in our scene. Ben spoke with Be-mag to discuss the current state of Chimera, his collaboration with the dutch boot company Adapt and the future and beyond of skating.

Voting is still open for this nice little documentary where he opens the doors to his work and life, as well as shredding the streets of Berlin!

Sven Boekhorst talking about his ‘CityHopper’ Project + Trailer

With so many rolling edits out there it is becoming increasingly difficult to come up with something unique and exciting. In recent years it seems like the only way to get noticed is to go bigger than anyone has gone before or add in that extra rotation before landing on a rail. Over the past year Sven Boekhorst and his team have been working on a different approach on how they could grab everyone's attention, both inside the skate world as well as outside our cozy realm. What they came up with was a project called 'CityHopper'. In an attempt to take things to a different level the outcome truly shines as unique. Sven was really open to letting us in on this little secret that he had been hiding. Take some time to read up and find out what exactly 'CityHopper' is all about. We think you will be just as pleased as we were.

Brian Moore on ‘The City Never Sleeps’ + Trailers & Brady Johnston Profile

Brian Moore is about to release his new DVD 'The City Never Sleeps'. After more than two years of filming for the video and a $10,000 investment Brian has finally come to an end! Watching the teasers and considering the positive feedback the film got after its premiere at the Hoedown Contest in Dallas you can be sure that this release will get your ass up from the sofa and strap on your skates. Although Brian said that he did this video mostly for himself, we think that this video is made for everyone. But decide for yourself: an in depth interview, two trailers and Brady Johnston's section from the video should provide a good basis for your decision on whether or not to get the flick! All of this after the jump…
